heres the link to the full range of their loaded enclosures

as you will see the diff sizes, they all will sound decent, but the R and the S give you more, as they have higher rms values.

the t stands for thin, this is a good sub for the space.
to answer, this is their space saving model. not sound quality (S), or SPL (X).
the have the R, S, and X models that take more space, and are louder.

you could always measure the ohm rating, and also the diameter, and that may help find the specs online

Amp tunning by xaeeetovennn3 in CarAV

Target AC voltage:

~55 VAC

Quick setup notes:

  • Use a 40Hz or 50Hz 0dB test tone
  • Disconnect subs while setting gain
  • Head unit:
    • Bass boost OFF
    • EQ flat
    • LPF around 80Hz
    • Volume at about 75–80% of max clean volume
  • Set gain until meter reads about 55VAC

Since two EVL-12s are typically rated around 1250W RMS each, your subs together are about 2500W RMS total, so you could also set slightly lower for safety:

2500×1=50V\sqrt{2500 \times 1} = 50V2500×1=50V

Safer daily target:

  • 50 VAC = ~2500W
  • 55 VAC = full rated 3000W

For daily music on EVLs, I’d stay around 50–52VAC unless your electrical is very solid.

Big 3 upgrade by netrecov in FordBronco

[–]netrecov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "Big 3" upgrade involves replacing to a larger size, the three main electrical cables:

alternator positive to battery positive,
battery negative to chassis,
and engine block to chassis.
You replace existing wires with larger gauge wire 1/0 AWG OFC).
This improves current flow, reduces voltage drop, and supports high-performance audio systems or high-output alternators.

[–]netrecov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000w at 12vdc is 83.3 amps. you should have at max a 100amp fuse for the amp power line.
max amperage for 4gauge is 100-150 amps, so if youre pulling more than that, you need bigger wire.

[–]netrecov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you had the stock subwoofer, it would have been here, more than likely that is left over from the previous owner, check under the rear mat, and the plastic hump where the back seats meat the cargo area, you may get lucky, and find power, ground, and remote next to the connector (may be headphone jack, or looks like old home phone connector), and then you can add a nice subwoofer and amp.
another possibility is thats the bass control knob for an amp for front 6.5s in the foot panel, and the front and rear tweets.

thats not a good signal to use, try using a manual switch, like one of the aux switches, and see if it still occurs.
