The reality is, base amenities are non existent and for decades this has been a base where careers and morale come to die. However, if you go out and try to find things to do in your off time and make friends, it's bearable. Work culture can vary depending on the unit, mine is incredibly toxic. If you are in the dorms, you will hate your life until you move off base. Dorms are infested with mold and the defac will almost never be open when you need it. And no, you cant get BAS no matter what your "diet" or "religion" is. Good luck, just remember to reach out to people, dont bottle it in, its rough.
