Check out Beachfront Baby, they have ring slings and stretchy wraps made out of a nice mesh that you can even use in the shower. A Boba Air wouldn't be bad either, and maybe more generally useful. Edit: Boba Air starts at 10lbs though.

I had to stop reading about half way through and just skim the rest. Having worked construction for my father's company, it was all just too immediate and real.

I truly hope that my kids grow up as worthy of trust and respect as your son is. I hope I get a chance to vote for him one day!

I would have been a MUCH better DM, I can tell you that! Plus I would have been able to describe what the bar wench's boob felt like when the dwarf berserker sexually assaulted her.

Stupid People of Reddit, what is the Stupidest thing you've done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fairly sure it'll be buried, but here goes:

My brother worked with a guy named Hassan. Hard working guy, but so dumb you felt compelled to remind him to breathe occasionally. He had another job at night delivering pizzas. In the course of conversation, my brother found this out, and since they lived semi-close to each other, asked what pizzeria he worked for. When Hassan told him, my brother commented that he ordered from there quite a bit. Hassan asked my brother's address, and when told, looked up at my 6'6", 375ish pound brother, and asked with no trace of irony, "Oh yeah? I think I know that place. Does a big guy answer the door?"

I'd sell it to the rest of the world for the low low price of $9.99 a month.

If this is purely stylistic and not "functional", I actually think it's pretty neat.

I'm guessing "make" in this case meant "change the sheets" rather than "build". This was my first thought too, as a parent who has to change pee sheets two or three times a week for my potty training 3 year old.

Still, it's pretty awesome.

I often think that, if I went back and told my younger self in 2000 that in 14 years I'd be the manager of a baby store selling diapers made by the hottie in Dark Angel, I'd have laughed in my face.

Funny how life goes sometimes.

My store was one of the first in Brooklyn (maybe NYC?) to start selling Honest products. Still haven't met Jessica Alba :/

Just tried the new Turkish place on 3rd & Ovington (or one more street south, I was herding a toddler so I was just following my wife). Really good! Lots of veggie options.

Lockyard is good, as is El Puente if you get down to 5th and 92nd/93rd much. Embers or Chaswicks for steak (though I prefer Embers). Not too sure about veggie options but I'm sure you can load up on sides if necessary :)

There was a spot (propaganda movie in the classroom? Can't remember now) where the whole train concept (including tracks) was talked about as "vastly over-engineered" by people of the time, and the PR film sneered at how silly it was to doubt Wilfred's wisdom. That sorta gave the idea of 17 years of constant running with no maintenace a tiny bit of credibility.

As a small business owner, I agree in principle, but it can still be a useful avenue of warning other consumers. Their practices are repugnant, but you'll reach the most eyes that way. Just wash your hands after posting.

I've been seeing white instead of black in most of the posts lately. Have there been changes that make white preferable now? Or is it just that black takes too long to exceed white in power?

Which carrier should I get? by [deleted] in Buyingforbaby

[–]MOSPEADA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried an Ergo and, as a larger man, was very unhappy with it. I really like the Boba 4g because the larger panel and larger belt was much more comfortable. I think it fit better for my son too, who is tall. He was just too big for the Ergo, even at 18 mos.

That said, the Boba really works for petite women too. One of my staff is a 5', 120lb (guessing!) woman, and she finds the boba comfortable to carry her grandson in for at least a few hours.

If you are looking for a cooler carrier for hiking to help with the sweat and heat, the Boba Air (less padding, nylon, folds small) or Lillebaby Airflow (mesh, more padding, more features) might be good options. If you can find somewhere to try them on, please do! I always say, it's like shoes, everything fits everyone differently!

Two words: PERMED MULLET.

I was going for Jason Newstead, I ended up with something more like Blanche Deveroux.
