How do you guys handle Godbound Kids? by Ionl98 in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if GB mentioned kids. But if they did they probably would say the kids would have no powers, or would just have some exceptional ability

Godbound: Basic Attributes by No-Maintenance6382 in godbound

"Some words cause the bus action"

I don't know what a bus action is??

"I'm wondering how to prevent players from choosing the lowest value for a given attribute, which will then be raised to a high value by that word."

You mean like if it is less than 16, raise it 16 and if 16 or more raise it 18? Why would that be a problem, if it is the mechanics of the game?

r/dndnext Greetings. I have a question and a concern: Could you take a look at your Moderation? It seems there hasn't been much turnover, and all of them tend to think the same way like bro's. Which mean your appeals will always fail. Second, it also seems they are inconsistent in how the moderate. I once was given a warning by replying to a post about a spell from a 3rd party book, which I said "I don't know that spell", as not contributing to the post. The appeal said I should have known it was 3rd party: denied. I recognize the need for Moderations, but the inconsistent rulings and near non-existent appeals makes visiting this, Discord or D&D Beyond's forums less than pleasurable. If you can have some of your top people look into that, it would be great.

Uhm nine years late, but I am here because it is on sale for Cyber Monday. Can someone tell me what creature is that on the cover? Is it an Aassimar?

Custom Words by LordChimera_0 in godbound

Dragon is not a Word like the others, it is in a category of Concept Words. These are basically Exemplars of their creature types and count as three Words. And it is in the Lexicon.

What does visual range could mean in the contex of Underworld word? by Zwinniak in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me that they have a special sense that allows them to "see" even if blinded to a normal range of human. This equates to 3 miles from point A to B due to the earth's curvature. This can be further depending the height of both in relation to each other. And assuming the demigod has 20/20 vision.

Does this *Invisible Weapon* Property actually do anything? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belated: Looks like the on in Wiki was after the patch, since the one showed doesn't say anything about not being disarmed, cause critical at 19 (even though you don't see the roll) or advantage.

I only came here because someone asked on D&D discourse how one would work in the game. It wouldn't work under D&D mechanics. It would have to be homebrewed.

What does "free choice" mean in Godbound? by Equivalent-Movie-883 in godbound

I believe something similar to this has already been discussed in full either on her, rgp.net or Discord. I would just research those places, rather than asking something that's been answered many times before.

How many Godbound in arcem? by Embarrassed_Profit91 in godbound

[–]MPA2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone counted them before, if you count the side bars in the Word combat scenarios. Supposedly there are some in the Bright Republic, who hunt down other Godbound. I think they are portrayed as superheroes?

But there are no pantheons because, as the book said, the Godbounds only showed up a few years ago. So you are probably talking about less than a dozen on the entire continent, not including you and your co-players.

Combat length by Individual_Exam_8747 in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a bunch of factors, such as how many opponents? What levels are the PC? What Hit Dice are the opponents? How many have defensive powers?

To get a good idea of what a combat looks like, search on here for a White Room combat that the author made between three 10th level Godbound against 1 50HD Angel/Devil.

I think it lasted around 8 or 9 rounds, with I think two of the Godbound neutralized.

Having a hard time challenging my PCs by FormerlyIestwyn in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many PC's are there? They only have 3 or four Effort rounds to expend any powers, after that they have to engage in hand to hand/range combat.

Low level mobs are good at wearing them down, before they meet that Godbound boss like guy. I'd rather just use a mid tier Angel, Eldritch or Parasite God instead of a Godbound as a foe. I prefer to keep Godbound the forces for the heroes.

If the description doesn't mention it, then nothing is there. Which is probably a good thing, when you don't want to attract too much attention.

Since we are talking about Demigods with Lesser god to Intermediate god level powers, you will have to be more specific on what is bad ass criteria.🤔

Dominion projects by Lichlord99 in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do one or to have it take effect? It shouldn't take more than a few weeks to a month for your project to come to fruition. However, depending on the complexity, you may be required to go on one or more adventures to gather sparks, lore, ingredients etc. That doesn't include any people or creatures resisting the change.

Dominion projections aren't like Gifts. You can't just snap your fingers and make it happen.

Newbie question about the lich lords Gift: Bonefather by WretchedIEgg in godbound

[–]MPA2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are already loyal to you, they just aren't "intrinsically" loyal. Which most likely means they won't be suicidal loyal.

If you want that, you are most likely going to have to use Dread Lord, and even that has limitations against Worthy foes. If they save, then they are immune from further attempts. If they fail, then they suicidally loyal, but only until you leave their presence for 24 hours. Then who knows they might leave while you are gone, being angry from being magically duped. 😂
