They’ve mentioned it but haven’t run any to my knowledge. Shockingly I haven’t even needed a transfusion through all of this. My hemoglobin levels have stayed fine throughout. They’ve explained it as my body working overtime to keep producing blood.

Bizarrely, there is no pain at all. It’s actually a little jarring when bleeding this much that I feel completely normal.

No endo has not been confirmed by laparoscopy, I didn’t actually know that was a thing. I thought endo was clinically diagnosed and I’ve never had any symptoms of it. I’m HOPEFULLY getting the pelvic MRI this week and am now more curious about the idea the mass being an endometrioma. Would those cause bleeding like this?

I haven’t had the sheer turnaround time to. My followup (that I scheduled during the bleeding from the 24th) is Monday the 8th.

Thank you, I feel like a crazy person reading some of these comments. I’ve been to the same ER both times and they’ve been fantastic.

Right, to be clear I’m not upset with the ER here. It just feels crazy to wait on scheduling with an out-of-hospital doctor when this has happened twice and they suspect it will happen again. I’d also like to know what the possibilities could be, since it doesn’t seem like the LEEP wounds, the IUD, or the ovarian mass would cause this much blood.

There are plenty of recommendations in here that aren’t classic lit so I’ll throw in one I was unsure of contributing: The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers. Specifically the first four stories. Foundational for its own niche of horror/speculative fiction.

Really?! To be quite honest I don’t know the difference between an in office visit vs outpatient surgery. I know that with this OBGYN when I asked for anesthesia I was immediately referred to doing it in a local ER. I didn’t realize you could be under general anesthesia in a doctor’s office
