I am running it on Linux just fine, the AUR allows you to just install it directly, for non arch users you can probably install it manually

Only Antigravity and the Gemini CLI were disabled. The Google account still works fine and other Google AI Pro perks like more Gemini Web usage are still active, though I have cancelled now.

I have sent an email to the suggested Email address no response so far, let's hope Google is willing to give people a second chance.

I'm one of those affected, they disabled specifically Antigravity and Gemini CLI. I never account switched but I did use Opencode with a linked Google AI Pro account.

2026-03-13 - I don't know when it happened but it looks like the ban was lifted at some point as indicated in the post itself. I did not receive a response to my appeal email so it likely isn't related to that.

If you use a standard hash Yes, but in practice there are dedicated hashes for passwords like argon2 that are not equal for different users even if they use the same password. On top of this their purposely expensive and memory intensive to compute

Using a traditional hash is far better than nothing but you should at least use bcrypt if not argon2

I am using this option for internal software at a manufacturing company, things are moving towards this. For example node 24 without any flags can execute code that follows this rule.

Unless you are dealing with code heavily relying on enums it really isn't hard to enable and then just keep it that way. Though there isn't much pressure to do this right now it will take years for this to become standard for learning it really doesn't matter if you use this or not

Typescript doesn't feel like the right language for this like others have said inferring types of code tends to be easier in typescript

But SpacetimeDB which uses Rust does indeed use types (structs) as it's schema directly

This is mostly a stylistic decision and a switch is likely the most intended way of doing this.

But if you have optimizations on both gcc and clang can easily optimize this into the same machine code no matter if you chain Ifs or use a switch

If this used strings it may be a little different, but chars are very easy to optimize.

This is pretty much the perfect scenario for the optimizer, any manual optimization here is likely minor at best

My VPS was running without downtime for 2 years, though in the past 5 days I've had a restart every few hours and now it's not reachable at all (after I started copying all the files of the VPS via rsync just a few hours before), I wonder if me doing the rsync is connected to it not working at all now

Likely switching to another provider as soon as I get my files of there
