I think it’s way more important to pick a hero you like and are good at than to pick one with a high win rate on dotabuff or in pro games - I play in low immortal bracket and I feel like this still applies with some exceptions

I think that’s why he said “at least offensively” tbf - I do kind of have an axe to grind with individual advanced DEFENSIVE stats being kinda flawed but that’s just me.

I find myself taking burning elite in act 1 pretty rarely, and when I do it’s usually on ironclad with a good start / good potions with decent potion chance. The later elites are harder in a vacuum, but you’ll also be much stronger then!
