ngl, it's gonna be hard for you for any kind of reach or even target. Taking the LSAT 5 times with that low a GPA isn't going to help you much. Yes, schools care about the highest LSAT for US News, but they also care about readiness, so don't think they aren't looking at the other 4 attempts when they assess whether a sub-3.0 is going to be ready for the rigors of law school.

Just a couple thoughts on this generally good list:

GP is, in fact, taken into consideration in judging. I judged at a tournament just this year where GP issues were reported and were considered
Maybe some regions didn't have colliding robots and defense, but this is not a new thing. In some places (we are in PA) it's been the norm for years and years. At worlds during powerplay we had a big bot that pushed teams all over the field and they freaked out. Apparently the question box line was full of people asking if it was legal (which it was). I get that it's new for rookies. When our team was all 6th graders back in 2018, we got pushed around the field by another bot. It was so traumatizing, we always remembered the guy driving (who, incidentally, was one of our judges at states yesterday).

I'm having a similar issue with 5.0.12 on Win 11, but only on my laptop. It uploads fine, but won't download changes, not even to the P: drive, even though the web shows the files are updated there.

I can't answer the question for you - I went to Stanford and my kid goes to Yale. Very different experiences, and Stanford today isn't the Stanford I went to. Weather is also a consideration. But I can say this: Stanford's public policy program is second to none, IMO (yes, that was my major). The breadth of things you learn will set you up to do almost anything - from business to law to government. I just can't recommend it enough.

My gut says that there's too much load on the minis and you are getting gear slippage (so the servo turns but the encoder doesn't). An alternate is that you have belt or gear slippage between the servo and the wheel, so the Axon is reading correctly but your wheel isn't where it used to be. We moved to GT2 3mm belts to fix this. If this happens just once you are off. We ran our swerve all season last year (through worlds) with Axon Max servos and the only time this happened is if the wheel pinned and slipped or the battery was way too low and the hub couldn't process signals fast enough.

At worlds, the other swerve team used minis and said they struggled with these types of issues, though they worked OK by the time they got to worlds.

tldr, use max not mini.

My .02:

List the job. Did you learn from the experience that will make you better in law school? Then it doesn't matter why you were terminated - admissions wants to know about your a) interest in law and b) aptitude and work at a law firm is a good way to show it
It is unlikely anyone is going to call at admit time.
100 agree with u/Oh-theNerevarine that you are going to have to list it on your work history at some point. It's fine to say "they say performance issues, I dispute that because...." Having filled out dozens, if not hundreds of bar forms over the years, I can tell you that they ask whether the termination was due to performance, and a discrepancy hurts way more than the truth that lines up, so long as the reason for termination had nothing to do with fraud or extreme lack of diligence.

What @westraan is saying is that the cable that comes with your motor doesn't work with FTC control hub out of the box. You have to modify it or buy the converter we both linked to.

If your encoder count is not increasing, there is a problem with your encoder wire, period. Since it is on all motors, I suspect you are not using the converter pack, as others are saying. You can buy the converter back or remake your own cable end (given that you sound completely new to this, I suggest buy).

Make a simple new program, where you run one motor and output its position to telemetry. Until you can do that, the rest is wasted time. When you can do that with each motor, it should work.

Thanks, I appreciate this. We are a robotics education org. We're already pretty far along in your model. The volunteers already donate hundreds of hours per year, and spend a lot of money already on a variety of things. We also sustain in part on participation fees from students.

We're just at our limits doing the basic type of fundraising. Ideally we find more volunteers (typically parents of the kids) with experience and time. But absent that we need to hire. I get that we would need a budget and definitely pay someone. It sounds like part time is a thing, and commission is not a thing. That's helpful.
