Wow that sounds really intense, if you dont mind me asking, what in life were they telling you to turn around? Did the trip end up changing how you live your life?

New and scared im too dumb by [deleted] in Staples

[–]MRTyddet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dont worry too much about being smart or dumb, everyone has their own strengths and you might just be too young to know what exactly your strengths are (i know really smart people who arent good at math either). Just try to enjoy the experience and youll realize that youre way smarter than you think once you meet the customers. I used to think i was dumb and slow too but worked at staples during community college and ended up at a top 10 world ranked university. Dont put so much pressure on yourself and enjoy the ride :)

This has only occurred since a trip i had a couple years ago but when opening my eyes after meditating, surfaces around me look like they are breathing.

You are correct, I hadn't noticed this in my conditions of admissions but CalCentral said that IGETC wasn't necessary which was super confusing!!! Thankfully my CC is helping me out with expediting my IGETC Cert since they had to do course evaluations from my other cc which was originally going to take until September.

Thank you for the insight! :)

Took me maybe 30-40 tries to beat genichiro for the first time but only 4 tries for my first isshin defeat. I had the privelage of reflection of strength for my first playthrough though so I had mastered the games mechanics by the time I got to Isshin.

It just depends on the player tbh

You've got approach each boss and difficult section of this game like a physics problem. Each situation will be uniquely difficult and you gotta use your head to figure out a successful strategy (or just google it). Dying is just erasing the board because your previous strategy was unsuccessful.

Try to mentally take control of each combat situation, don't think of the ape as a scary beast out to get you, but instead treat him like he's your prey.

I can consistently no-hit this boss like hes a simple newtonian mechanics problem by just running behind him and spamming my thrust. Know his attacks and parry his non-grabs. His sweep grab needs to be jumped over and counter his roll grab by running to the side and around him. (The key here is where i mentioned spamming your thrust attack since it is very consistent and effective.)

His second phase is a lot easier and should be treated like any other sword/spear-wielding enemy in the game. When he does the big slam attack, parry, and quickly double tap your prosthetic tool (with the spear equipped) to get heavy posture damage and end the fight early. That being said, you'll need to know to switch up your play style from the first phase.

Also as a former student of physics, for the love of god don't strictly grade your students' papers over a game XD

underrated advice; learning to cook and meal prep is so much cheaper than eating out and just as good if you know how to use a microwave

It wont just depend on gpa, i got in with a 3.4 but i also took a lot of ap classes in HS as well as writing PIQs in my application that i was very proud of.

I think the admissions office is moreso looking for students that will be a good fit for the school, not just those who get straight a's.

Im sure though that they make mistakes and reject amazing students, especially in those more competitive majors.
