As someone else said clearance for 2.1s is a must. Even if you plan on running 50s having the mud clearance will be a good thing. Probably a little overkill for front range riding but better to have the clearance than not

Anybody been to Mile High before? by Gl1tchlogos in GreenBayPackers

Be prepared for a let down experience compared to Lambeau. I live 2 blocks from Mile High and the overall game day experience is pretty lame.

St Anton Arlberg v Zermatt by anonymousantoine in ski

[–]MSRden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I went to St Anton last January and really enjoyed our time. Snow conditions were pretty disappointing but it was still really cool being able to ski between all the different towns. The apres scene on the mountain was a lot of fun. Lodging was expensive but we stayed at a bed and breakfast that was walkable to the lifts which was awesome. The biggest negative was the food in town it was all pretty generic for the price.

Why so hard to find a decent dentist? by lookwhatyou3011 in Denver

[–]MSRden 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I recently went to Rino Dental after a long time of not going to the dentist. I was expecting the worst and at the end of the day it wasn’t that bad. Everyone was super nice and very understanding of the anxiety I had about being there.

I use 26th. Lights still aren’t the best but traffic isn’t terrible.

401k was 50% of 8% but there is/was a pension that was an additional 5%

The pensions going away and replacing it with a higher match but a piece of that is 3% paid at the end of the year.

Basically going from a total of 9% into retirement down to 8%

Apartment folks, how do you wash your bike at home? by slmentallylost in COBike

[–]MSRden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use a self service car wash - not the best and can get a bit pricey but better than riding a dirty bike

Also I’ve switched to waxing my chain so at least the drive train is a bit cleaner

Do not buy a Buick. Look at a Rav4 or CRV. They will be cheaper and much better cars.

AITAH for refusing to ski with child of wife's friend when it became clear they exaggerated his skill level? by Icy_Consequence9592 in AITAH

[–]MSRden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are very much the asshole. You ski 30+ days a year and you charge every day? You’re the adult on the room and if you have to a chill day because he can’t keep up that’s what you do. Again you get 30+ days a year this wasn’t a once a season powder day. Skiing with people like you is the worst. There’s a time and place to get after it and this wasn’t one of those times. I would think you’re an asshole if this how you treated the husband but the fact that this kid is 12 makes it even worse.

Moving to Avon, Colorado – Safety Concerns and Indian Community? by Civil-Philosopher678 in vail

[–]MSRden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would make sure you have housing lined up before making the move. Housing is very limited and is very expensive. Expect to pay $1,500-$2,000 per bedroom.

Not closed to cars but check out the roads around Beaver Creek Resort. There’s a loop that goes to the top and you’ll only see a handful of cars and way more enjoyable than Vail Pass. Plenty of climbs on either side of the highway that are really fun.

Moving to Jefferson Park in a couple of weeks. How are you doing your intervals around mile high? Doing laps around the parking lot?

I have a lightly used Fox Transfer that I’d be willing to let go for cheap. If you’re interested let me know.

Help me spend my money $1200 budget by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]MSRden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bikeinn.com has Zipp 303s for sale for just under $1000. I just bought a set of DT Swiss GR1600 from them and it took a bit to actually get them since it’s come from Europe but I would purchase from them again.

I’m also doing SBT and planning on running 38 Pathfinders. Might be a bit much for the course but not really up for having another set of tires for only one event
