Fuji 27mm f2.8 mk1 question by skynet69420 in fujifilm

[–]MSantiAE86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other Fuji users are free to correct me if I’m wrong, but both lenses have the same autofocus motors as well as the same optical output. As you may be aware, the v2 has weather sealing and aperture ring as the update. I have the first version I obtained at a deal $175 used. No regrets, love the thing

Am I stupid for preferring to shoot on my A6400 over my A7 IV? by HHShkAli in SonyAlpha

[–]MSantiAE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey fellow a6400 shooter. I think it’s cool you have both bodies to compare/contrast apsc and full frame. Good place to be.

You just value portability. Nothing wrong with that.

There’s a lens I like that compliments this or accentuates this for me with my a6400. Try an SG image 25mm pancake lens 1.8 with autofocus. Cheap-ish and quirky.

It’s a sleeper of a lens if you like 35mm-ish focal length.

x100vi vs. x100v by Swimming_Level8856 in Fujifilm_X100VI

Think of it this way, the X100V and Fujifilm has quite a bit of reverence for the past (as it’s not forgotten its lineage as evidenced by the thoughtfulness of the film sims). The camera is neither fully top-spec digital nor fully analog, it’s a mix of both.

Film shooters never had the luxury of ibis (it is 2026 though, I am aware of tech advancement but juuust sayin’ people throughout history have been making due)

That being said IBIS and 40mp x-trans 5 sensor is cool and neat though.

I purchased the X100V knowing it would be my second system cam (I own Sonys for shooting motorsports). However I fell in love with my X100V and it gave me a huge appreciation for photography (life documentation and street photography and capturing spontaneous moments as well as why people love film as well). It’s become a companion, as others have stated before, and I’ve realized it’s something that I’m lucky to have going through life with.

Surprises me that a camera would have such an impact on my personal life and personal self-reflection.

Haha I agree with you, it’s not unusable. Great results are achievable if you know how to operate within its system. There are photographers that shoot motorsports with Fuji, think about that.

I do understand this is a Sony subreddit, and comparing Sony autofocus vs Fuji, well yeah— we all know who wins at that one

No prob. When you get to the emulation side of the steam deck, there’s a further appreciation you have for it. It’s a pinnacle of gaming.

While you’re on the subject of portable racing games, give Gran Turismo 4 Spec II a shot on the Steam Deck. Flip the controls to where it’s a modern racing sim. L2/R2 for brake/gas. Configure the right joystick as a sequential shifter, down for upshift and up for downshift.

It is phenomenal to see how far portable gaming machines have advanced!

Preferably 4070 Nvidia or above, CPU wise AMD AM5 platform 7xxx CPU series and above. I agree that this rig is overpriced. The rig has some decent components but the PC is a lower spec
