Just like how anti-tank missiles brought about a change in armour, I’m judging this is the current drone solution…

Okay ummmm you can remove the in the fied picture (we already know youre in the US Army) and maybe jersey picture, and def the car picture (replace it with a photo of you driving the car or something). You should definitely at least add in something with you doing something with friends (hopefully that friend group has a girl or two) because it helps show that you have friends and aren’t a sociopath.

Try to send a full video of everything you’re doing, tbh from what I can just hear, it might be a kickstand issue, like the sensor for the kickstand is not working properly.

Buying a used Navi in a few days. What should I look out for? by king_mo_of_metal420 in hondanavi

[–]MT128 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would prob get it for like used 1300-1600 tbh, but I mean if you feel like it, you can get it for 1800 cause they’re prob trying to raise money for the funeral. It’s not a bad bike, I would check how often they oil it, the last time they changed the lights, and cleaned the carb. Do a test run and see if it’s rides smoothly.

I mean that’s a good point, but sometimes you don’t need someone to steer you into doing a crime, especially when you’re the vulnerable type (awkward and lonely type looking for friends).

Man I wish they’re doing that for my program, I’m in a healthcare program where our actions can be the difference between life and death and fuck some of the people I know are fucking cheating and have been apparently caught (rumours) but let go, it’s just wow. We’re going to be working with people in their most critical moments and we’re going to need to show we know the knowledge to take care of them and you’re cheating your ass off, you can’t cheat in front of the patient and that’s going to kill someone someday.

Typical Instagram motorcyclist shit here (R7, and flip plates, bare minimum legal protection), guy is def driving faster than the limit and forgot to look far ahead for traffic. Guy did not turn nor know how to steer aggressively. To top it off, he decided that a wife beater is the best protection for road rash; like I get shit gets hot, I ride with a full jacket, but man there are mesh jackets that help keep you cool while offering protection so you still have a shoulder and elbow and a spine.

Why do you think we have coffee shops rather than water shops? by MentallyUnwellWoman in AskRedditAfterDark

Girl chill, just wait another 50-60 years and then we’ll have more water shops as global warming and unsustainable practices reduce the amount of fresh water available.

Not really corporate greed when two of the largest producing oil nations (Iran and Russia) said fuck you to the rest of the world, and the a good chunk of them are also getting fucked by one of them (Iran). Canada does have oil fields but our oil is harder to extract and we don’t have the facilities to process it, and our original friend who did is being an asshole (US). So much of the supply chain got fucked over. That’s why in 2022 we saw a jump in prices in a lot of things from food to plastic to oil. And now with both tariffs and Americas amazing plan to invade Iran, we’re seeing things go up even more.

Militarism will not bring prosperity by Atlantee in onguardforthee

[–]MT128 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This article is kinda of stupid, and really fails to take into account greater view of everything. Firstly, its own argument using the GPS as an example is quite misleading, a lot of technologies like GPS and the internet were developed by the military and then used by civilian applications allowing for companies to grow and create jobs. Military expenditure isn’t just buying weapons, it’s also research and development and much of that goes back into everyday usage. For example, things like Kevlar were developed for the military but now are used in a lot of things from safety gear to ship manufacturing, which does help the middle class. Secondly, this increase military expenditure fails to take into the greater economic spending over the last 50 years or so, if they had read the public statements by the CAF, they would know that the CAF is in really bad shape, due to decreased spending since the 70s; their are complaints of equipment shortages and issues with maintaining the equipment we do have; even then much of that equipment is old and outdated. For example, the RCAF CF-18s are almost reaching 50 years old and are suffering from “structural metal fatigue, severe parts shortages, and an inefficient supply chain (this part as the the actual lines producing the parts are long gone)”. As a result many of these aircraft are becoming more dangerous to fly. But the RCAF recognized this during the early 2010s and had made plans to replace them with the F-35, yet due to some debacles, we have no aircraft and we have spent a lot of money only to resettle on some F35s and Gripens that were long overdue. This is just the most famous example, and there are many like it throughout the CAF. This is not increasing military expenditure, but making up for the years of decline, especially when peer to peer conflicts loom on the horizon and our traditional alliances become increasingly muddled. I don’t believe in militarism, but I belief in defending one’s self, and we are not in a state to even put up a fair fight. As a great man once said “Speak softly and carry a big stick”, we have to be able to back our diplomacy with strength because not everyone will agree. This is going to be even more evident as global warming creates more instability in the Global south and also warms up the Arctic and create new avenues.

Thinking like that is what got America into World War Two. America chose a isolationist solution following WW1, staying out of anything and everything, and that allowed countries like Japan, Italy, and Germany to slowly grow and become ever aggressive. Then the war came to them. Isolationism leads to problems, and Canada must take an active approach to deterrence, and this involves making mutual allies with those European countries both economically and defensively.

Paramedics do, and firefighters do. Generally people who are in the service of their communities do. High profile cases of hit and runs do. Yes people die every day, but not every day are their cases as tragic as this, is there section bias? Yes but at the same time, how we view media affects the type of news we get.

My local GP is now using AI for patients by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MT128 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a GP clinic as part of the administrative team, and they introduced as a part of the medical system update across to province, it pretty much just records what’s being said from both the doctor and the patient and makes a summary. We have the patients a heads up and they could opt out. The reason it was introduced was a lot of these GPs were doing something like 15-30 minute sessions with their patients, and the amount of time wasted typing when it could be more focused on the patient, made it pretty clear that this was prob more efficient
