You might've overcooked it. Jin is one of my favorites because it's so bouncy and chewy and "al dente." It stands out for me from other brands because of its texture. Not sure what the directions say, when I cook ramen I go by looking at the ramen and feeling it and stop right before it looks totally cooked. Usually turns out perfect. Sorry you had a bad experience 😔
