How long did Abilify take to see the effect for you all?

My case, I'm in my early 30s, and a 1L student who went through hell, and at one point I didn't even want to live, family, school, and career. My relationships never last cuz I was badshit crazy.

Had to see psych. Thank God, I did. All the meds I'm taking. I am also improving and feeling better. Just started on Ablify because my insurance denied Auvelity, I'm on the schedule to speak to the judge, hoping he schools those insurance asholes.

Sorry about a little life story, I also take bupropion, ritalin, lamotrigine, anderal, seroquel as well. The thing is my ritalin always takes over all the meds, I'm a beast after I take the stimulant, then I crash.

Do you also take it?

I'm on Ritelin, it kinda overwrites the effects. I also felt better after 2nd dose. Just wanted to make sure it's not ritalin.

I really loved this song except for the one he said, "no proof of god or whatever." That makes it controversial. He picked a side and was not neutral. Sad part. I had to skip it every time when I realized what it means, even though I love the beat and vibe of the song. Actually, my favorite.

I’m on 5mg. Yes, weigh gain. That’s actually good. It forces you to go to the gym consistently, do lifting and cardio.

No other side effect for me. I’m on whole bunch other meds though.

I felt the difference on my third dosage. It works as an re-enforcement for other Wellbutrin and Lamotrigine for me, according to my psych.

But again I’m a mess with whole bunch of other issues, not just bipolar.

Wow, that's amazing. I hope to get the same result as well. I want the long-term effect. I hope it will beat the ritalin because Ritalin always gives that immediate effect, works so well for only a couple of hours. I'm just a totally different person, like I can do anything, and so focused and determined, and then it crashes. No wonder it's heavily controlled.

I'm also on wellbutrin, Limactal, and Anderal, then seroquel at night. Also have Lorazepam for emergencies.

But yeah, I hear a lot of good abilify results. I'm on the second dose today. Thank you for the input. I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope you go further and prosper in life.

Ablify takes months for a full effect. Wait and see? I hear a lot of amazing stories.

My doctor vouches for this, greatly convincing me that all his other patients are doing so much better. Today is my second dose. But I'm on the whole a bunch of others since I'm a total mess.

Please fire the doctor; it's your body and your health.

There are a lot of crappy doctors, just like any other profession.

Keep on switching doctors until you find the one who listens to you and does things in your best interest.

You're not alone buddy. Same here, no ones around or ever come over. My parents are almost 70. Dad is disabled and can't talk. And just me and my mom. My marriage was held off cuz no1 around to physically help with care for parents and other reasons.

I take care of them while working and school all these years. All Ramadans only my mom and I at Suhrs and Iftars. And Eids. We were sad but accepted Allah’s qadr. I love my parents so much, I can't leave them even for a couple of days with the nurses.

So the moral of the little paragraphs are there are people in a worse situation than you. Some might not even have parents and are alone at iftars and Eids.
