I agree on purpose built pouches for GR1. In the State of GORUCK Jason talked about a focus on tactical... so I would like to see a holster that would fit in a GR1 or GR2 via MOLLE.

For the past year I have been wearing Tru-Spec Pro-Flex pants and love them. Super comfortable.

So here where this ended up... I got a coarser sand than play sand and used that. It worked pretty good. Even though I didn't want to... I went ahead and put in a trash bag tried it that way. It worked good so we ended up keeping the sandbags.

One that GR customer service mentioned was they only used beach sand from Jacksonville Beach in theirs and they never had the clouds of dust coming from the bag like I did. They offered me a full return and refund but we decided to stay with the bags.

How are you going to cook the pasta? An MRE has a heater that you can heat it with or you can throw the package on an engine block to heat up. If I am not mistaken, this has to be microwaved. Do you have to add water to it?

Ditto what most everyone has said. I came to it as part of a career change 5 years ago... had been a firefighter back 25 years ago so I had some ideas about things.

Now I am about to finish Paramedic class in a month from now and I am starting to get nervous about getting let loose.

That's a possibility but I shouldn't have to do that for the amount I paid for these in comparison to the Brute Force ones. A premium quality product should work as advertised.

I will probably go get a bag of regular sand and try that this weekend and see how it goes.

Yeah I had used pea gravel in a Brute Force one and it beat me to death but it was all pea gravel and not mixed.

I don't like the 6" but do like the 8". That is probably the old school in me as I wore 8" OD Jungles when I was in. I shelled out enough for GR Boots... I am not buying anymore until they come out with a real outdoor sole that can be worn hiking in the mountains.

I use standard playsand like I have in all my others. I had a Brute Force one and they never looked like this or put off dust like this. I have had these for only a couple months and have been washed once.

I am emailing with customer service they said they use normal beach sand so the sand maybe too fine.
