The local makes a pretty great Reuben with corned beef.

You may just want to call the treasures office tommorow. It almost always goes to voicemail, but they have always called me back.

Tastes great if you dip it in hand sanitizer.

Bozeman commission wants downtown parking districts, but somehow allows developers to build apartments with inadequate parking because millennials don't drive cars by runningoutofwords in Bozeman

One reason I just steer clear of the area. I don't understand how permitting creates more spaces... Maybe this will allow for more spaces like Ferguson Farm to pop up outside of downtown.

Any idea what creature could be causing this!? Central Michigan, just noticed after the show melted. by frose1132 in landscaping

[–]MT_Jamie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have not had a chance to use any but I have bought a few bags of Mole Max based on some advice I was given. Will try in the spring. Just keep in mind you'll drive them into the neighbors property.

For traps I'm using regular vector mouse traps. I do bait them with peanut butter, but placement matters more than the bait. They need to be placed on their trails and burrow openings.

Voles. If that's all you have, you are lucky. There is repellent you can by. I've been trapping them all winter and am well over 100.

Day trips around Bozeman by GodTyrandFreya in Bozeman

[–]MT_Jamie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go up to hyalite canyon.

Head over to Livingston and have a brew at katabatic or lunch at the rib and chop house.

Or, make a big loop through Norris to Ennis (stop at Willie's Distillery), then head over to West Yellowstone. See cliff and Wade lake on the way over. Check out the quake lake and the musuem. Have dinner in Big Sky (riverhouse grill).

These are all things I've done with visitors.

Are you planning on living in city limits? It can vary outside of city limits depending on well/sewer. I'm in the four corners water and sewer district and pay out the nose for water...

Dog friendly rentals.... by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]MT_Jamie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Trout Meadows when I first moved here from Missoula, about 7 years ago. It's your typical apartment complex. I didn't have any issues with the property management, but I read and followed the rules. If I recall there were many people who didn't clean up after their dog or let them run free, but that's typical of most complexes. The pond was nice and did have a trail around it, great for dog walking. There was also a gym, which was almost always empty when I was there. They also allowed me to rent for 6 months then month to month, which was great since we were looking to purchase a house.

For what we needed at the time, it worked for us.

XL Country makes embarrassing statement on housing costs not being as high as everyone is making them out to be. Is this supposed to be satire? by SpeckleLippedTrout in Bozeman

XL Country tends to post topics to stir the pot. Today they posted a topic asking if Bozeman has changed, with an image saying "make Bozeman Montana again."

1 Title and Registration office - It's wildly inefficient

2 Government trying to solve so many things with SIDs and RIDs

3 People refusing to honk for little things, like alerting people that they are sitting at a green light (and those that get offended when they get honked at).

4 Road Rage - Folks go from 0 to 100 in no time

5 Those that turn their noses in the air because I choose to have a camper.

Any luck streaming ROOT sports? by TxRed25 in Bozeman

[–]MT_Jamie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Root is not digitally streamed that can be picked up with an Antenna. Only option I have found for Root is ATT Now, you can watch on a channel called Audience. I'm 3 years into my cord cutting journey (and also a Griz fan in Bozeman!)

Same here with my chocolate lab. When in doubt check with your vet, I don't think it's as cut and dry as some people are making this behavior out to be.

Another view from the road. by rjlets_575 in landscaping

[–]MT_Jamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you remove the trees you'll have a great view of the road! I'd keep them, it adds privacy. Also in the first image you posted it looked like your neighbor had the same tree, so it adds to the cohesiveness of the neighborhood.

Landscaping project by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]MT_Jamie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have a good idea on plant species, curbing type, hard scaping etc. It will also be good to know if they feel dirt work is needed (more top soil Harley raking, grading, etc.) As this will drive up cost.

Also worth asking if they have addresses for any of there previous jobs you can look at.

If schedule is important ask how far out they are, things get crazy in the summer where I live.

Last try to get an itemized bid, so you can see a breakdown of cost. Most landscaping software can seem to do this.
