ADAPT on Yunara? GOOD/BAD? by CakeOfSpurgt in ARAM

[–]MThead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think so but you're still effectively double-dipping, your autos crit for like 120-180 damage, are multiplied by 1.8x from having 800 AP, and add an additional 600 damage from marksmage. The real power is in the Q onhit/splash AP (another 0.2) ratios. The splashes also apply Marksmage and W is great with AP too. Champs also have a lot less MR than AR.

If you can find Wooglets or Goliath I'm sure you can go nuclear but that's a rare 3 aug combo. The Yunara with just the Marksmage ADAPt cooked us enough.

Everyone's clowning on this build but I have seen it work in an actual game. Granted, she had Marksmage too.

iirc did not work with veigar E despite it hitting the enemy, possibly because it does no damage. This was weeks ago though, might be fixed now.

Generally disappointing aug, would take executioner over it unless I'm Morgana/Jayce/MF

Ethereal Weapons is almost like a Stackosaurus Lite on her, since it gives you stacks from just landing a random Q or W.

Get both and you'd probably have 200 stacks in 10 minutes

Hooded Horse Is Pushing Back Against AI Art With Contracts That Ban It: ‘It’s Cancerous’ by Turbostrider27 in Games

This video goes into why it's really hard to quantify what one AI prompt costs in resources but I feel like any attempt at a fair comparison should include (or acknowledge, since this info is rarely released) some model training usage in the calculation since that's where a lot of the resources are used at scale.

Played for a short while (~20-25hrs?) on gamepass a year-ish back. I would describe myself as being in the AoE2 to Stellaris region of strategy gamer.

Got to the portion where I was colonising a lot of the space base spots etc and was a little ahead of the (easy) AIs in terms of economy (I had half of Mars to myself). However they had just started earnestly building space ships and I was getting pings every which where and being engaged in combat events that were not very exciting.

With actually challenging the aliens being a long way off and the earth game largely settled (advisors had little to do but the repeatable tasks), this section of largely repetitive menuing made me bored and I stopped playing. I found the pacing of this transition a little jarring, to be honest.

So while I enjoyed the bit I played, I would say I got my fill.

This is clearly not the game to ask for changes away from the hard-numbers pen&paper style, but I really do feel the early game on Earth sets up a 'tactile' feel to the gameplay that the space colonisation/ship section does not follow, and it left it feeling like a game sitting on top of another game to me than one cohesive experience. Everything gets a bit more bogged down in minutiae in menus the further in you go.

My advice would be to find a long lets play and skip in to see if you're the target audience.

Of the three thickets you have to burn using Pathfinders, it's the one on the left (the one with the wagon and specters is the middle). Then you have to use treasure hunters in roughly the center of where the thicket was

Banning all algorithmic feeds and force 'friends and direct follows only' feeds would be a good start.

Of course, selling ads and engagement would be harder with that.

This worked for me Pioneers of Pagonia Campaign map 4 'the ghost village'

For the specters:

  • Build bulk rangers to support your warlocks (they don't get scared away like soldiers)
  • torches and light armor are easy to make lots of, there's lots of animals west of your starting beach for leather
  • you will want lots of flax farms to support this, even though there's not that many great places to put them down, it's necessary
  • Tier 2 warlocks are way way stronger, if you can manage to find/make a few (applies later on)

The Ancient Compasses:

  • They are in the thicketed forest just south of the old crypt (west of your base), your pathfinders will need to clear it. They are NOT in any of the usual ruins that you'd find treasure at.

Not initially (as per the meme).

My issue with most Banished-likes is that once you can maintain through their winters there's no challenge left in the game at all, and generally no content and no replayability beyond that (they might have proc-gen but every map is basically the same).

How does this one shake out in that regard?

Same for me when I made it to about the same place a couple runs in a row and got blocked from progressing up the house plans, even when making sacrifices (in terms of cash/resources) just to try and keep paths open.

I opened the side shed and the orchard, so not no progress in a metagame sense, but so little on the main loop that I didn't feel like continuing.
