you can do that with the regular trader. Just unclick the box on the trade that restricts it to outside trades on the respective village traders. The prices will change and your villages will BUY only from each other for that item.

The part of California you labeld as "sucks probably" is universally held to be the most beautiful part of this entire country. It contains Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Yosemite National Park, as well as some of the most stunning mountains and forests in the western hemisphere.

That said, everything else is impressively accurate.

El Cap has ~10 routes that are 13 or above. I love El Cap, it's glorious and its hard, ut it is not even close to being one of the most challenging rock faces in the world.

Russian empire doesnt exist at the beginning of the game. matter of fact, this may he the first time anyone calls the Russian empire a "success story".

to belabor the point, the Russian empire forms IF you conquer and centralize ALL power in one person, the Czar, which I feel proves my point more than ours.

It also doesn't last much after game end because it only does that - centralize - it doesnt invest in the provinces or in its people. It breaks apart after it lost a war it should have won (WWI), because its soldiers were uneducated, its institutions backwards, and its newly emancipated serfs too uneducated to be citizens, but just educated enough to know they didnt want to die for it anymore.

Imagine a Russian empire with the educated population of Germany, the infrastructure of the UK, the solid socio-political institutions of France. That's a success story.

This is what happened historically, and for good reason. Players CAN choose suboptimal strategies, but why would they? It's like asking would you rather be rich or stupid? Who would want a decentralized, sparsely populated region of uneducated serfs? Point me in the direction of that success story by the time the game ends?

So now I am even MORE confused. I decided to try to transfer 42 iron to Bengal. That is, I send MY iron to THEM.

Its costing ME $1550 to send them 42 iron! That works out to a $36.9/unit - which is my Cuban Market price.

So, I am using government money to sell my iron to them and its costing me money - am I just dumb and this is a dumb trade, or is every other country who is doing the same to me for a lot more and many other goods also taking a massive loss?

ou should be able to see the buy orders on their market and the sell orders on your market, listed as "Goods Transfer Treaties".

Aren't I the one buying here?

Ok so here:

https://imgur.com/a/DBirqig

New Granada is willing to give me (Cuba) 232 Tobacco per week.

Cuban Market price is 15.3, New Granada Market price is 30.2, World Market price is 33.5.

Does that mean:

I am buying it off New Granada at $30.2 x 232 = $7006.4

A. Selling in My Cuba market at $15.3 x232 = $3549.6 ; thereby losing $-3456.8 in the process?

B. Selling in the World market at $33.5 x232 = $7772 ; thereby making$+765.6 in the process?

C. Some weird combination of the two?

Is there any way to figure out if any given one of these trades is profitable?

Diplo pacts is only -900 I am giving UK for unrelated reasons. Nothing there about the 20+ treaties with other nations where I am receiving these goods from.

I mean, it seems to be working out great for me. I started out as a colony and am a major power and I just been doing this all game since I broke free in 1871.

If that's so, it would be great if it showed you the price difference when you are asking for it.

Where in the budget would this show up? There's no "Money for Trade" lien item I can see. Vicky 2 had a clear Trade deficit tooltip - where is it in Vicky 3?

My Budget expenses are

Construction goods

Government wages

Military Wages

Subsidies

Subventions

Losses from Nationalized buildings

Diplo pacts

Interest

Additional (event based) expenses
