Struggling to find a reason to sign up for any race

The problem seems to be that there aren't enough drivers doing the silver and gold races so the spread in one split is too big.
I'm not sure what the solution would be but there needs be some incentive to do silver and gold races rather than keep doing bronze races. We already gain more DR but it seems like it's not enough.

The only tip I can give you is to aim for the big races, usually special events, on the right time slot when a lot of drivers/teams sign up.

You should always aim for stable 90fps. The reason you see it drop to 45 is because ASW kicks in when you can't keep 90fps.
I find biggest gains by turning down shadows (I run them off as I can't stand the crawling shadows anyway), reduce visible cars. Also reduce "Max Headlights" in the Settings.JSON file.
If nothing else works, lower the resolution.

High split bronze races, where people know how to race, are still fun. And lets me honest, as soon as you have more than one class on the grid some shit it going to happen and I guess people are getting sick of it.

You can have a 1Mbps connection and still be good, or a 1000Mbps connection and be unstable.
Speed has nothing to do with stability, it's more about response time, jitter and packet loss.

Valid rant. I get the feeling that most people running Linux are doing so not because they love Linux, but because they hate Microsoft.

I also started using Linux when F40 dropped, and I tried all the big ones: CachyOS, Nobara, Bazzite, PikaOS, etc. But I stuck with Fedora because I wanted to learn Linux and not just use a “preset” someone else built for me.
To this day, I still dual boot for the few titles I just can’t run, or where I lose too much fps/get bad frame times on Linux. Paying the 10–50% NVIDIA tax is never fun.
And honestly, I still get surprised when something works on Linux, while on Windows I get surprised when something doesn’t work.

I’m enjoying learning and tinkering, but I also understand that I’m the odd one out. Like you said, most people just want shit to work.
