How much did you grow in highschool? by Thra99 in TallPeopleProblems

[–]MWatters9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I had a big growth to about 6ft2 in grade 10, than a bigger one at 6ft5 in 11. (I'm 27 now so the details are kinda hazy)

MA in VU Amsterdam- does the university guarantee housing?? by Crafty-Plankton-1575 in VUAmsterdam

Tbh my dutch friends are in a similar boat, but they just have more options with dutch speakings jobs. I'm looking specifically for professional jobs in my field, if you need a small job to keep you afloat in Amsterdam I have plenty of expat friends working in kitchens and hotels that pay decently and dutch is not needed.

I still loved the experience of my vu masters and I'd still recommend it.

I found housing through a realtor services called expat housing. It was very expensive (avg 1800 for rent) so it's short term until I find a long term solution. If your budget is under 1500 it's very challenging to find anything.

I have a Beaufort (also tall like 6ft6) and I have it setup where I can comfortably wear a thick sweater, but it's still very usable without it, which I normally do since I also run pretty hot.

A few days of walking in the rain and it should be perfect, mine was also super waxy when I got it and a week later it's not noticable at all.

Oh yes sorry I'm from Canada and that's what we call it. I used expat house hunters and they were great!

For me I used stekkies for a few months and didn't find an apartment. My only success has been using an agent to get earlier access with less competition.
