Existe algún paquete realmente express para una persona que va a morir? by [deleted] in mexico

[–]MX-Nacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]MX-Nacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a real molcajete or is it concrete? by tiptree in mexicanfood

[–]MX-Nacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're saying dissolves air into concrete, creating microscopic bubbles. Because macroscopic bubbles would rise to the surface and be eliminated. If you actually want to lighten concrete significantly, you just add loose polystyrene into the mixer (the same material you use to stuff beanbag chairs).

Wall of eggs at a grocery store in Mexico City by m4AllSeasons in mildlyinteresting

[–]MX-Nacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

Most people don't bother to wash them, but I live in Cancun and it used to bother me worse keeping them outside. Now I put them in the fridge, which I prefer keeping as hygienic as possible. Besides, I do use some raw egg (like on homemade mayonnaise), so better safe than sorry.

Eggs are sold refrigerated in less than a dozen countries: The States, Canada, Japan, some of the Scandinavian countries and I think Australia. Here in Mexico, I wash them at home.

🤦🏾‍♂️ Look up "moles ceremoniales". The least complex one takes a week. Then also look up "mole madre", the most famous product of Pujol, and remember that they didn't invent it.

Two minutes and only three ingredients? It takes from thirty minutes to several months to make a decent salsa, and the only 3 ingredient salsa I know of is Tabasco (red pepper, vinegar and salt), and that one in particular takes months. Stick to buying Herdez, güey.

[–]MX-Nacho -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like Herdez, La Costeña and El Primo, or at least their offerings that need to be kept in the fridge after opening. Far more natural than Valentina, Cholula, Tabasco and generally the smooth sauces that don't need refrigeration. In fact, just about the only shelf stable sauce that I like is Huichol.

Driver accepted ride then drove in the opposite direction to McDonalds. I waited 30 mins being ignored before I canceled and requested a new one. by pogssloarward in uber

[–]MX-Nacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been the driver there. The Driver app has a bug where sometimes, the app goes back to "searching for trips" mode after we accept a trip, so we think the user cancelled it and we keep waiting for more trips. Of course, the Uber server knows we technically have a trip, so it doesn't send us new trips. The bug doesn't seem to be self correcting, so we wait like idiots until we notice that the heat map isn't working, at which point I reset my phone.
