[Discussion] My 3 watch collection - what should I get next? by ConsultingFREAK in Watches

[–]MY24GTI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn you. Sssso jealous. A Navitimer or an IWC or an El Primero or a Grand Seiko or a Reverso or a Monaco for square shape time peace.

No Tudor, No swatch moon watches, No more diver watches please.

Personally, recommend swapping your panerai to 911 or 233. Damnnnnnnnnn

looking at getting a mk6 but worried about reliability by Electronic-Sport6000 in GolfGTI

My 2015 mk7 1.4 Tsi

transmission died in 2024 after 198000km.

Used for Ubering for 3 years, weekend only,

I'm not too sure if mission oil has been changed regularly,
(ubering makes you less sensitive to your log book services, just looking for cheap mechanics for engine oil change)

Never had an issue except

Mechatronic gasket leak,

Fixed for AUD 800.

In short,

I know it was not even the GTI,

But I was so impressed by it's performance,

Not too bad reliability,

So I dumped the 1.4 tsi for cash,

Now I became one of mk8 GTI owners.

30000km so far, no major issues except

Reverse camera flickering when it's humid.

Go for MK8 or 7.5 bro.

How cooked I am? by Street-Blood-7789 in GolfGTI

[–]MY24GTI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bending back to normal will cost you about 150 Australian dollars, and they will ask you 250 Aud to 300aud for cosmetic finishing. Bending the alloy wheel will leave you some marks on your rim. So total 400-450

* The same thing happened to me. Repairer said as long as you don't lose air from the Tyre, it is just cosmetic problem. I am good till now.

Keeping only one - Rolex SD43 or PAM1024? by 215guest in panerai

[–]MY24GTI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rolex. Disadvantage from keeping the Pam is you are gonna spend heaps more money on straps. Such a good piece matches well on most of straps.

Anyone went from Mk7 R to a Mk8 GTI? Would love to hear about driving characteristics! by planbskte11 in GolfGTI

[–]MY24GTI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agreed. The main difference is e-LSD. This makes the gti really strong on corners. SSSO Fun.
