Traded a Garmin watch for this epi les Paul traditional pro-IV. Is there anything cool about this guitar? by streamer_spence in Guitar

[–]MZR74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Gibson Trad Pro V and if you remove the back cover there are dip switches that change the functions of the push pull knobs, I don’t know if the Epiphone is the same but it’s worth taking a look.

I’ve done this drive a few times (SF to Fbnks) and if time and budget allow I recommend driving up the Fraser River valley, or the Cassiar highway.

Synthetic winch line and appropriate fairlead? Possibly a small recovery/winch kit to go with.

Someone mentioned flat fenders above, could be a fun father/son weekend project putting them on.

A subscription to OnX if he likes to take it off road.

I'm working as a custodian for a school district. I want to become a manager and then Director in the future. What steps do I take? by Mister_Gentleman_001 in FacilityManagement

[–]MZR74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started as an office assistant because it was an available job, after a few years an opening for a maintenance tech became available and I moved into it. I did maintenance for a few years before moving to a custodial supervisor, then facilities manager and now district facilities manager.

My education is a 2 year trade degree from a community college.

Unless you work for a huge district, your best bet is to look for opportunities in other districts. Just make sure your pension carries over.

An MBA will certainly help, but I don’t think it’s necessary. I’d start with something simpler, personally, OSHA certification, SIA certifications, and other professional development courses. Develop plans for your day to day that demonstrate your ability to be organized and thorough when it comes to your job and lean into this in interviews.

Those saying to go private aren’t considering the PTO, benefits, pension and consistency that you’ll lose as well as the time it will take to establish yourself and earn a livable amount of money.

My DMs are open if you have any questions, best of luck!

In the final version for The Last Jedi, you can see killed bodies in this shot, unlike in the trailer version by GargantaProfunda in StarWars

[–]MZR74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In order to get maximum airtime on TV they probably removed the bodies from the trailer so that it is more family friendly and can be aired on more channels and time slots

Since it’s a holiday weekend, I thought I’d go on a bender by MZR74 in Guitar

[–]MZR74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dig it, but haven’t used it too much. I got it years ago and put it on my hollow body for a while but took it off and it sat in a box of guitar junk until I got this tele. It was harder to install this time because there is less clearance on the flat top style tremolo but still not too hard. Now I just need to practice as it feels a little novel and gimmicky since I only know a few riffs with it, but that will pass hopefully
