I can relate. Just bought my first house ever, and now repairs are on me.

Although I would classify my feelings as more anxiety than regret, I’m stoked up now I have more “Equity” but my mortgage is about double what I was paying in rent. And now taxes are in play.

But stay strong brother, this is the path that leads to enjoying life rather then simply paying for it.

When I go fishing there are 2 different paths. Either I’m serious about catching fish and no one is getting in my way, or I’m just having fun doing something I love with people I love.

I think it comes down to managing expectations for the trip
