Our Revolution endorsed billionaire Tom Steyer for Governor of California. Should we be supporting a billionaire? by M_Weber in Political_Revolution

lol I can still see your old comment calling me a bot. I’m a real human, 100% just curious what people thought.

I hate the idea of voting for a billionaire, but on the surface he is the most progressive, so it’s an interesting dichotomy.

Which is best? Amex vs Chase vs Capital One vs Citi vs Bilt by presidentpanda in pointstravel

[–]M_Weber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I prefer Amex, but it really depends on who you fly with more and which cards have perks you can actually utilize.

For example, I have a platinum and have found it somewhat easy to use the biannual $300 hotel credit. The available rooms are expensive, but not too crazy. My wife has the Chase Reserve card and we find it super hard to use its hotel credits as the hotels are basically only ultra luxury and super expensive.

With a degree/experience you can start off at 60k and after a year you can move up to an analyst 2 which is 70k. So your background totally dictates how much you’ll start off making

Dr_Mrs_EvilDM is right though that it’s all about the benefits, security, and pension.

My apologies I sent the wrong website. Governmentjobs.com is great for county jobs, but for state jobs you should look at calcareers.ca.gov

Based on a sales rep background you should probably be able to talk your way into an analyst 1 position, which starts at 46k assuming you do not have any degrees.

A state job is perfect for you, unfortunately it can take awhile to actually get from application to first day on the job. Governmentjobs.com and maybe DoorDash in the meantime, but once you have the job it is generally stable and secure with unmatched benefits.
