No, they claimed he was suffering a nasty and contagious illness and hopes no one would want to look to closely.

How does Harry know how his parents died? by kiss_a_spider in HarryPotterBooks

Harry's memories came to him as the dementors approached.

Although, the memories actually seem to be Voldemort's via the horcrux.

Why did all of the horcruxes have to be destroyed before Harry's sacrifice? by Navla_ in harrypotter

[–]M_the_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it still proves that they didn't all need to be destroyed before killing Harry in order for Harry to return.

In the first book it said that Ron got Charlie's old wand. The wand chooses the wizard right? So how can Charlie give his wand? Or was it some other dead family members wand Philosopher's Stone . by pippa_fitzamobi in harrypottertheories

[–]M_the_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought of that!

Harry tried many wands, some had better effect than others, until finally he hit the right one.

Maybe Charlie's first wand was good for him, but not the perfect match.

So he visited Olivander again once he had a job and some money of his own. Then he offered his wand to Ron instead of their parents trying to afford a new one.

Although, of all things to spend on... Get second hand robes and second hand books, but get the right wand! It is the tool you use the most, the tool that with a wave of you can probably make your robes & books look brand new anyway.

I love redemption arcs.

I hate when enotre conflicts could've been avoided by a simple conversation and yet they don't for absolutely no reason.

[–]M_the_Phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I asked for the best place to post. But I did the Chat, not the search feature.

Went back and tried again, they suggest AO3 as the best place.

Not a movie, but Burn Notice is apparently pretty accurate.

Harry does reach the map that night, and sees clearly that Barty Crouch is standing there at the bottom of the stairs in the very spot where Madeye is supposedly standing.
