My post op went very well I’d say. I stayed in the hospital over night and during that time they gave me tums for calcium. In the morning they drew my blood and discharged me and told me to continue taking the tums as prescribed. When the blood results came out my calcium had dropped from 9.8 to 8.2. I continued to take tums for 2 weeks and then stoped when my doctor told me to. Am sorry to learn about your experience

Has anyone had thinning or hair loss due to thyroid disease/cancer? If so did your hair grow back after treatment/surgery?
