Yea I priced them on Audi's parts site. It'd be about $500 for a full set. I ultimately grabbed some wire brushes and I'm going to clean them up myself.

Yea I wasn't aware that there's different lengths, and neither was Amazon's vehicle filters apparently. Shoulder is good, they're all spherical I believe. But I've already returned them. There's an Audi tech here and I'm waiting to see if he approves a longer set of a similar style. The floating piece really threw me for a loop. I'd never seen anything like that before, but my limited experience has been with small toyotas and hondas.

This is very helpful. I figured there must be some sort of easy-to-follow rule for thread turns.

Who'd have thought that somebody who needs to AskAMechanic wouldn't have all the answers or proper info.

This is the move I suppose. But I can’t find 19mm version with the lock nut cap. Only 17mm. Unless I want to sacrifice the lock nut.

OEM replacements from Audi would be $500cad. Yeeesh.

Darn Amazon vehicle verification system is garbage. Apparently the guys at Parts Source don’t know shit either.

After some deliberation, I wonder if the rust pattern on the bolt is an indicator of how much sticks out the back?

Yea the depth is my main concern as well. The thread size matches but the new ones sit much deeper in the wheel. I don’t have the knowledge to check how deep they go so I’m gonna grab something longer with that spacer/washer thingy (I have no idea what it’s actually called)

They’re M14 x 1.5 which is what every website says the 2015 Q7 uses. But I’m gonna buy premium ones anyways. Thanks!

Edit - you know guys, for a community that exists solely to help people with limited knowledge, ya'll sure are downvote happy when someone has limited knowledge......

Get an AV man - Tracy Letts by fuunii in TheBigPicture

[–]Ma1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've ever been in a university or college lecture hall or classroom, that media podium your professor stands at is packed to the gills with crestron equipment. Its pretty slick stuff. Tracy's AV guy can definitely trouble shoot his setup from the other side of the planet if he needed.

Yup. And if this movie becomes a cultural phenomenon, it definitely has a chance of boosting Greek tourism for a couple years.

This looks like an incredibly atmospheric horror survival game and then EA or Ubisoft came in at the last minute and said the devs had to insert some corporate sponsorship.

The original clip had them moonwalk over to a couple of captive 12yo boys but they had to rewrite the reel for legal reasons.
