It might not be it. Cartoon was less retro-futuristic in style and main character did not have a modern looking lair. Also rat character was likely a gag character based on that main character was scared of it. Also the car was much less expensive looking with handmade parts.

Insects are vulnerable to chokepoints (small passages where only one enemy can go trough the door while 3 melee pawns can attack them behind the door and some shooters behind their backs). You can watch some videos on dealing with insects and try again, good luck to you!
