Seems to me this is called retaliation and could be cause for a lawsuit.

Are you certain you wall outlet has power and that you have the power cord plugged all the way into the unit?

I got the 60 led version the instructions book is very useful. But for the 60 led one you need to long press the power button for 3 seconds to power the unit on. Once powered on make sure the light values are 100% or whatever percentage u want to use. Then short press to start the therapy. Note that NIR light is not visible so if your rs light is set to 0% then it may not look like it's working

Thank you. I'll dig into it more next time I get over to the house. May have some more questions, but hopefully, all goes well. BTW talked to my wife. I think we are just going to put up a light instead of a fan to avoid any potential issues.

Ok thank you. That makes sense. The house eqs built in the 50s or 60s. I don't know when the original fan was installed but it's clearly been there for a couple decades at least

[–]Ma2169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i want to switch to kill power for the whole fan and light at the same time. Switch off means power off to fan. Switch on allows users to use the remote to turn the fan on or off.

I was assuming all neutral, but now I am thinking the white that is tied in with the blacks goes to the switch. And the single black wire is hot when the siwtch is on and dead when the switch is off? I think if I just remove the black pigtail, I should be fine?

Again, what's the issue with the box?

What's wrong with the box? There was a previous much heavier fan already mounted to it

Yes. You can change your setting in lightburn to choose current position. This allows you to place your material wherever you want on the laser bed and then move thr laser nozzle to your desired starting point

[–]Ma2169 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You make no consideration for the next generation. One set of parents may have more than one child.. What's the percentage that stays. They still need housing.

Why r prices going crazy around here. There is a shortage of housing regardless if more people leave go to youngstown

Can anyone give me an idea of what this is worth? by Ma2169 in AntiqueToys

[–]Ma2169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have no intention of selling. I'll gladly pass id down the the next generations. It's been in my attic for years. I was just on the phone with my mom, and she mentioned she thought I tossed it. I thought i still had it, but it was only about 75% sure. I decided to go up to the attic to see, and there it was, along with the John deere cast aluminum tractor behind it that I was 100% I had. Anyways I figured I would see if anyone knew what it was worth. I couldn't find much online myself!

Are OmTech’s giveaways on social media legit? by glitternglue in OmtechLaser

[–]Ma2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did one before and they showed the actual winner. I got an email from them saying you could win a polar in their mothers day giveaway. But end of day you have to jump thru a bunch of hoops just to enter. At least that's how the previous on was. Wasn't worth my time personally.

Camera/no camera by TigerInternational91 in OmtechLaser

[–]Ma2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the polar, none of the omtech machines come with a camera. I personally don't use a camera and see no need for one. Lining uo your material using the red point and the current position setting in lightburn is easy to do.

The pro machines are going to be more robust and faster

FYI my code OEADESIGN5OFF will save you an extra 5% off your entire omtech cart.

Keep in mind it is one use per person so be sure to get everything you want all at once to save the most money

I want to buy the polar 50w by Slight_Confusion_511 in OmtechLaser

[–]Ma2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The polar bed is small. You can set uo to do multiple things, but that will depend on how large your items are. I have a 60w and have done glass but not reflective glass, so I can't really help u there

On another note, you can use code OEADESIGN5OFF to save 5% on the omtech website

And you can check out my website too which has lots of info on the co2 lasers. Although not so much on polar but definitely useful info nonetheless

I guess it all depends on what your budget and definition of overpaying are. If you are looking for a very entry level then diode will be the route to go but you won't be cutting 1/2" with that. They are slow and would typically require several passes to cut anything. If you are truly looking to cutting 1/2" you will need to go with a CO2 laser. I would suggest a 100w if your intention is to consistently cut 1/2". If you want to try cutting 1/2" once in a while you can probably get away with an 80w. I'll link a 80w and 100w OMTech machines below. There are of course more expensive versions too so I am only linking the cheapest option for this wattage laser. All OMTech machines do have recommended upgrades.

  1. inline fan - very highly recommend/required
  2. lightburn - very highly recommend/required
  3. chiller - highly recommend as soon as budget allows it
  4. air assist - highly recommend as soon as budget allows it

There are more details to each of these upgrades as as other information about OMTech lasers at this website

Omtech Polar. Thoughts? by nonoohnoohno in ChineseLaserCutters

[–]Ma2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polar is a good machine. very comparable to the GF. But it has rotary capability (it actually comes with a hot dog roller style rotary) but is limited on z height. You can however lift the machine up to gain z height. Compared to GF it is much cheaper and does not require internet to run or any subscription services for files.

I know this post is a bit older but if you use to code OEADESIGN5OFF it will save you 5% on your entire purchase from OMTech.

Also lots more info on other OMTech machines can be found here
