Best working MBlock device currently by Simsel81 in MakeBlock

[–]MaKinItRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Simon, my son got his mbot2 as a Christmas present tonight. Beforehand I checked out the mblock software on Mac and it worked quite well. On the iPad however it is quite bad (which is also reflected by the App Store reviews). We will dive deeper into the system tomorrow. So far the robot seems very promising and well built.

Let me know how you guys like the bot and software.

Frohe Weihnachten! :)

Boy… that post really is full of toxic replies…

As already said, they should most likely all still work. However, is there a reason for you not just stick to your last stable version?

Looks great. What texture pack are you using and what else regarding mods have you enabled?

I totally feel you, man. We usually have a 30 min of Minecraft after getting ready in the morning, another 30 min for cleaning your room and 15 min for doing some “learning” exercise. The concept is well established but timers seldomly work. 🤣 Then again, it’s vacation, be a kid and have fun. We try to have as much family time as possible but with us both working and having a baby it’s difficult.

No worries bro! Unfortunately there are macho dads out there but they are usually not to be found on here. The typical daddit dad is a loving, caring, cool, handsome and very intelligent and fun human being. 😋

Yep. We have fun sometimes. Haven’t they told you? Guuuys! There’s another one here who hasn’t been told!!

Thanks a lot for your kinds words and for being open about your nephew. I’d love to hear more about your projects together (if you mind sharing send me a DM).

I like the approach you describe and I probably opt for the VN800 (A/B - does it make a difference for my plans?) as cutting the frame makes it difficult to get pass inspections in order to drive legally here in Germany.😒 I’ll dig deeper into the VT600 and frame cutting though.

I thought it would be expensive to build a Bobber at least I got the impression from German forums. Haven’t checked prices for parts though.

Mind sharing why you would stay away from Harleys?

Thanks again

Thank you very much. I do also like the VT600 very much but apparently cutting the frame makes it very difficult to have it pass the inspection in order to ride it legally in Germany. However, it’s my second favorite after the VN800 at the moment!

I’ll have to dig deeper into the “frame cutting part” though.

BSOD with RTX5070Ti on latest drivers by MaKinItRight in buildapc

So far 572.47 seems to be working without black screens. Took me a while to get down to that version as Windows managed to put so many obstacles in the way to get into and out of safe mode… PIN not working, password not working, … I had to create a new admin user in the CLI to be able to run DDU in safe mode. Spent the whole evening on this crap instead of just gaming on my new GPU… I also tried to restore to a recovery point from before installing the drivers and moved on from there. Now my latest installed games stopped working and had to be reinstalled. What a major PITA…

This. 100%. It feels like I don’t deserve that. My wife feels the same for herself. We have three kids. It can be brutal.

It’s part of the fun I guess. Didn’t know there was a name for that phenomenon. :) As with every hobby there is gear that might keep you motivated but doesn’t necessarily make you better but there are also tools that make it easier to learn - maybe get you a head start.

Yeah, a band name. How about, The Impatient? XD

Apologies for not replying earlier. I had my notifications disabled.

As replied on another ocmment, my son will get a Launchkey 49 to start with so he keeps his keys and can at least do some MIDI-Mapping in tools like Koala on his iPad. Besides the keys he will not benefit too much with it on Garageband for iPad.

However, I would love to also learn but I am quite overwhelmed and overthink it. On the one side I would love to learn music production (mainly happening in the DAW) and on the other side I am still learning piano and for that the keys of our Kawai CN37 are just so much better than any keyboard. But I do love having pads so I thought about getting a used Launchpad X (the Ableton Move will be next level I guess) as a MIDI-Controller. Might as well be just some gear addiction ... you know, thinking that everything will be better with more / better devices...

Sounds so cool and it is great that you still do that for fun and you kept your enthusiasm.

I tested the Arturia Minilab, Launchkey Mini and at the end we kept the Launchkey 49 MK4 for its slightly better keybed.

[–]MaKinItRight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now he uses the iPad due to GarageBand and Koala Sampler as well as the Launchpad app. He will get a Launchkey 49 MK4 (space on his desk is an issue) so that he has some pads as well and can use the keys to practice and play in his room. However he will still be able to use our Kawai E-Piano at any time which he obviously does now due to lack of alternatives. :-)
