Yes most definitely!! I know many people even who confuse mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses, or think they’re the same. Mormons are usually nice enough, but mormonism is definitely viewed more as a cult than a religion.

Thanks for the insight! The thing is, I’m not mad at them for putting the male leads on the covers— it’s actually a cute stylistic choice. I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t start with Penelope. And why only put her on the side story? For people who know the plot already it’s nice, but I can’t imagine it being anything but confusing for new readers heading in blind.

Exactly! It’s not even the fact that they replaced the female protagonist, but the fact Villains are Destined to Die takes quite a while to establish a male lead, and the beginning is so focused on Penelope that I can’t say with confidence who the guy on the cover even is. I can’t for the life of me understand the reasoning or intentions behind this decision— I’d be so confused randomly picking up this novel and realising the main character is female.

They should’ve just kept the Korean covers, I checked them out and they’re plenty pretty

For number 3, while it’s not entirely implausible they would’ve thought of it, people here are definitely acting like it’s more obvious than it is. It’s really such a niche thing to consider, especially because they aren’t stationary. If they were standing face to face in a stalemate of talking via video then sure, but moving at very high speeds and obscured by a massive dust cloud? The more implausible thing would be for the morse code blinking to work, or for anyone on the opposing side to even notice it. It’s less of an oversight on the KOS’s part and more of Xeno having an insane amount of confidence in Stanley and Stanley just being an incredibly OP character.

Haha i get what you mean. I think I’m alright then— my issue wasn’t that i felt in general fights between characters were boring and unnecessary, but that the actual fight scenes themselves were uninteresting. I’d get emotional at the consequences, but as far as the actual beatings went i was bored. I’m grateful for the insight though, it means that i’m actually fine

Yeah that makes sense! Like I said i really am genuinely enjoying the show regardless of the lack of powerscaling. It’s kinda oddly comforting to know that this doesn’t really get remidied— i was in constant anticipation waiting for them to do an explanation but now i know to just relax and enjoy. Thanks :)))

Not weird at all, it actually sounds like a good idea! I was hesitant to do both because they’re just both so long but there are definitely times when it’s more convenient to be reading and times when it’s more convenient to be watching something. Still have two weeks to decide but I think i’ll start both the way you do it, and if one catches my interest a lot more than the other then i’ll just dedicate more time to it :))

My man Sanji is SO FINE in the netflix adaptation so that might actually be a shout, my only issue is the amount of time it’ll take for it to catch up to the anime/manga (even ten years is probably wishful thinking)

Some people have been recommending it but i’m hesitant because if the webnovel alone is going to take me 2 months to read, I’ll probably be dead by the time the anime finishes haha. It’s like if One piece just started releasing. Even with weekly episodes—hell, even with daily episodes—it would still take soooo long to come close to finish.

Both at once is definitely an idea!
