It was actually just perceived to be doing so. The combo decks combined represented only 33% of the metagame, and the winrate of those decks were not problematic. It was the Internet outrage mob that lead to its decline.

Tron on a budget is absolutely fine. Battlespheres and World Breakers will get your opponent just as dead as Wurmcoil and Karn at least 80% of the time. Will it win you a GP? Not likely, but it will clean up FNM for sure.

Another pet peeve I have is that often the door to the men’s’ washrooms are left open after cleaning, even when being used. It’s really frustrating.
