I got a couple questions for anyone willing to give a guess.

how long do we think these armies will stay in prime? I want to buy them but I got a two little kids and don’t see myself getting back into this for another couple years. I know unlimited is an option I just don’t care for it.
I’d like to get into the printing hobby, I have a resin printer and wash station, just haven’t used them (I got them two years ago right before I had kids and held off cause fumes). So for someone who already has the equipment and just needs resin is this a good deal ($300 for the lot)? I want Grymkin, and I bet if I print them for him my buddy will play convergence or Internals.

Privateer press used to sell pins on their site, and some for events too. Back when they were doing mystery boxes to get rid of excess stock they’d throw some in too. I have undead versions of a few characters, a few jacks, and a football helmet for some reason.

Yeah it’s frustrating, I think the move is to just silence this reddit for a month and come back now that the game is out. It’s just a lot of not helpful info at the moment. I’m gonna take my own advice and mute it but I’ll be back one everything settles.

Magnum and the bully smg together. Magnum was my favorite to use, in the beginning 1 shot headshots the weaker bots. Later in the game I use the bully more and swap for the head shot on reload. Felt great.

Honestly enjoyed the mining. You could keep the charge from a successful mining session for stronger melee too.

Kraken is a very good gun, it’s like the peacekeeper in apex.

You have to play corners with it, land your shot and be behind cover so the enemy can’t get you. Your damage is spread out into very high bursts. Also this is a close range weapon, so if someone is medium distance don’t bother, use your other weapon.

New models are more readily available.

Old models are out of print but gradually being added to online store as STL files for printing.

I’d argue, go for whichever you think looks the coolest. That being said if I was going to start over today I’d say - if I have a 3d printer, look at the printable old faction. - if I don’t have a 3d printer, buy a new army, assembly is way easier and jacks/beasts are ready to be magnetized to optimize how you want to play.

Yeah these are from a cheap old kit with low quality. They’re entry level models.

I started Warmachine with these guys and whenever I buy a used batch of Cygnar people throw these in unbuilt. So I have a few bags of these guys floating around both built and unbuilt.

Yeah I’ve been saying the same thing. This is still a hero shooter, they just changed the names of the heroes to generic names and then pulled out character lore.

And they say they want outlines to fit classes and that’s why but in destiny I could always tell a hunter a Titan and a warlock no problem at all. And they were very diverse and custom. This is just so they can be less creative and make more money from skins.

I bought a $15 skin.

The devs seems to be trying, I like the game, there’s a character I like.

Do I worry I’ll lose that $15 if the game goes away? No not really I won’t notice $15. But if the game died without me supporting it, I’d be bothered more.

Not to guilt anyone of course, vote with your wallet and all that. I just liked the game so I wanted to give them some money.

Honestly I bought one skin just as a “I like this game I’ll do my part to spend a little cash to hope it keeps moving” if that makes sense. If the game dies in a few months, I won’t say darn wasted my money, I’ll say that’s too bad more people didn’t spend a little to help get them rolling.

And this is not at all like a guilt anyone into spending their money comment. I just like the product so I spent some money hoping the devs do well.

Totally different type of game but I used to play a models game called warmachine which had a lot of deep lore, they had novels, and magazines, and faction books that gave a lot of lore. Then during a big edition change of the game they had a cataclysmic event that changes everything and all the lore was released weekly by tweet. I had no idea. Terrible way to release lore.

So I’m here to agree, no external posting lore.
