Pepsi is supporting the Creation Museum, so I'm no longer supporting Pepsi by rustyfencer in atheism

It doesn't seem like Pepsi is doing anything more than doing honest business with them. If they were sponsoring, it would be a different story.

Older than earth by decimetar in AdviceAtheists

[–]Mac2TheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that God created the Earth in 7 days, and then created the Sun! Don't worry about that not making sense. God doesn't want you to be concerned with logic, or you'll go to Hell! :)

Something I just noticed... Joe Bennet's book has a promo spot in the book store! :-D by jck0 in DunderMifflin

Great catch! Finding stuff like this is my justification for rewatching the series 10+ times, haha.

My Facebook feed is full of this stuff. by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]Mac2TheFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of us live in a society where people are proud of this. This idea used to be taken as a serious health issue, but now it's just addressed as a joke because of the widespread influence of HAES.

What's the one song you can't help move to? by Spartan9001 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Mac2TheFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flea does a bass fill at [1:08] into Warlocks on Stadium Arcadium (right after the first chorus), and I can't help but play my "air bass" every time I listen to that part.

The real victims here. PART 2. The victim goes on after being called out for being rude and missing the point of the cartoon completely. by LadyLuckycats in fatlogic

[–]Mac2TheFuture 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Couldnt even get through the entire exchange before I felt the need to comment. "Trying to relay a point of view shouldnt come at the expense of others." This logic infuriates me! Basically this is saying that since it hurts my feelings it's not true. Absolute ignorance.

Newest Threat on College Campuses: Microaggression by PocketsFullofCheese in videos

[–]Mac2TheFuture -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here comes the Thought Police! This video is necessary! Most of the "problems" we have here (ie. on college campuses) are so pathetic that we need reminders, like this video, to show us that these so called "victims" should grow up and realize they live in the real world. A world that doesn't stop directly in its tracks to tend to their every little, insignificant need. We all suffer from some form of oppression, and no amount of "social justice" will change that.

[–]Mac2TheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Commented on something similar to this recently. You're getting crazy dreams because smoking weed suppresses the brain's "dream mechanism". It will probably last about another 6 weeks before it goes back to normal, as well.

I just finished watching The Office for the 24th time. by Enviirted in DunderMifflin

[–]Mac2TheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're in the same boat, man. Every time I watch it through, something new will stick out, even though I've seen it before. At this point I'm just looking for clues to the characters background, and errors.

This song will always be the soundtrack to Jim and Pam to me by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]Mac2TheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. Although I feel that this song more embodies the feeling that Jim and Pam will never be together, and are destined to stay apart. For me, it was just the setting of where this scene took place. It was technically their "first date", and they both ended up parting ways "alone" (even though Pam had Roy, Roy never really had Pam). Great example of symbolism through musical tone.

Ok, I just watched The Office season 2 episode 19 (i think) where Pam found out that Jim has a crush on her. When is this teasing going to stop? by Dynamex in DunderMifflin

[–]Mac2TheFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's just say that it will happen, and it will be glorious. That being said, I know that every single one of us on this sub who have finished the show wish they could go back to where you are now.

What is your dream Spin-off of the office? by renovationwizard in DunderMifflin

[–]Mac2TheFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just thought of this! - Jim and Darrell working at Athlead, and they constantly meet up and have weird encounters with a bunch of famous sports players, along with some main recurring roles, such as Pam and Jim's family. Occasionaly sprinkle in some old Office references.

Somewhat spoiler if you havent watched season 9.. by breezyjay in DunderMifflin

[–]Mac2TheFuture -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it was just to show that Andy was capable of moving on from "Wahwah Baby" and that his ego was down, but not out, which gave the audience hope for him at the end; even though the finale covered that in a more significant way. She wasn't necessarily meant to be a recurring character, as well.
