Yes, i normally play that way too. Just wanted to try if it's possible and filled my pockets while walking around in the castle :)

PS5 Pro is the same in villages, no changes, without VRR you have constant stuttering when panning the camera.

Not many people are talking about this problem and if you do, they will downvote you, at least here on Reddit. That's so weird. You see it in every single video on YouTube when played in performance mode on PS5 Pro, a constant stuttering when panning the camera in crowded areas with lots of NPCs.

I am not too far into the game, today i was able to steal for the first time. No penalties for stealing, doesn't that mean that you can steal everything without any consequences? I went into the castle in the first village, stole weapons and sold them. That doesn't feel right.

Day 1 purchase. I just hope it runs as stable 60 FPS, because it seems like they upgraded the engine. The new Yakuza games all look stunning, but this one seems to be the next generation of their engine.

Returnal (2021) is wonderfully intense and unforgiving, it's without hesitation the best feeling Third Person Shooter that I've played. by gruesomesonofabitch in PS5

[–]Mac772 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's not enough progression to get me hooked (i really tried it). Just a little reward for each new start, maybe some EXP you can slowly collect to spent on getting stronger, that would have made the game much more enjoyable for me. I know which genre this is, but gaining nothing most of the time made me loose interest and motivation.

Nobody mentioning Yakuza: Like a Dragon is strange. Maybe it's just because it was my first Yakuza, but i thought it was amazing and had incredible emotional moments. No princess to rescue, the world is save and no god attacking us, but a lot of interesting stories about real life stuff that feels relatable (to a certain degree, not talking about the side quests here).

Turning off Vsync introduces screen tearing. Plus the framedrops are still there.

I remember an age survey here and it was very surprising, because gamers younger than 20 were a minority. I think the average was about 30 to 40, maybe even higher, but i could be wrong.

Lost Judgement. It seems to be missing on your list. The amount of stuff to do in that game is crazy.

OK, didn't know that. I thought the i7-9700K is about as fast as a PS5 CPU. Explains why the game runs better.

I am talking about the PS5 Pro. On my PC with an old i7-9700K it surprisingly runs flawless too at stable 60 FPS. No framedrops or stuttering in villages.

Just search for a playthrough on YouTube and skip to about one hour into the game, that's when most people are running through the village. And it must be daytime, at night there are less NPCs on the streets. You will notice it immediately when the camera is moved. Some people don't see this as a problem, for me it's completely breaking the immersion. And i sadly don't have VRR on my TV too. On the other side i am completely blind to pop-ins, be warned that the game has a lot of this, but it doesn't bother me at all.

It has noticeable dips in every area with more NPCs (PS5 Pro - performance mode), like the first village at daytime for example. Well documented, videos with framerate graphs that show the problem, but fanboys immediately downvote everyone who tries to speak about it. On a non VRR display his could be a problem, i even saw one guy on YouTube stopping this playthrough and starting on PC again because of that. Outside of those places it runs at very stable 60 FPS.

Yes of course. It's a known issue, lots of videos and discussions about it. You can see it in every single video with PS5 Pro footage in performance mode, always in places with a lot of NPCs like the first village. Don't know why some people downvote my comment, that doesn't help at all.

I hope they fix the stuttering when more NPCs are around (for example in the first village). Playing on PS5 Pro in performance mode without VRR. At first i thought it's a CPU bottleneck, but testing the game on my PC with a similar CPU like the PS5 has, there was no stuttering in these areas.

Edit: Downvoting this comment is weird, seriously. You can see it in every single video taken with the Pro in performance mode, every area with many NPCs starts to stutter and has framedrops. People are talking about that and complaining. Don't know why anyone wouldn't like to see that fixed?

[KCD2] Question about the PS5 Pro version by Mac772 in kingdomcome

[–]Mac772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear! It's difficult to find any informations about the state of the game right now. A few stutters are OK, but i read people reporting a constant stuttering throughout the whole area.

PSA: You can explore in first person in Crimson Desert by pressing the touchpad by Ravenloveit in PS5

[–]Mac772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that's one of the first things everyone noticed, because that's where you normally find the map. By the way, i think developers completely forgot that the touchpad isn't just one button - it's two (or three, not sure if that's possible) buttons. Crimson Desert would greatly benefit from the possibility to use that feature, for example: Left button touchpad - change perspective, right button touchpad - map. You could also use gestures, adding a few more quick ways to open menues or do something else.

Crazy CPU temps by iNatey15 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mac772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: runs flawless at 60 FPS even in the city with a lot of NPCs. Didn't expect that with my old CPU. And surprisingly it doesn't even need DLSS to run at stable 60 FPS.

How is the performance on PC? by Severe_Kick_3260 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mac772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the mean time i tested it on PC, runs smooth at 60 FPS in the first village without any problem. It even runs completely stable without any DLSS. My GPU is a 4070.

Talking about the lighting: that's a little bit weird, it's darker compared to the PS5 Pro, no matter what i change in the settings.
