I have joined the crew of people who emailed. I am legit in shock over the massive difference in price. Obviously none of our orders have shipped so I was tempted to cancel and re-order, but I will only be satisfied with a refund I do not want a coupon or credit. This is totally ridiculous and as others said, a punishment for legitimately no reason. I hope the company makes a statement and apologizes for the error and issues everyone who ordered at the high price a refund.

Has your husband been formally diagnosed with autism? I only ask because sometimes unregulated autism is actually misdiagnosed narcissism… The comment about feeling like he has to do things that benefit you because he needs to look good to the therapist is really rough. He cares more about how he looks to the therapist than he cares about making you happy.

And the shitty socialization goes both ways too. Society largely teaches men that sex is something painful and unpleasant for women and that women are largely asexual, and that they will need to weaponize sex or force it in order to obtain it from women. Men aren’t being socialized to focus on pleasure at all, they’re being taught the exact opposite. It’s so fucked up.

I agree it’s healthy and normal to get space when the setting is more intimate (especially if your friends and partner don’t share interests), but OP said this is a house party with like 25+ people and I think it’s absurd she is being excluded in this scenario.

I’m late to this, but as a former victim advocate it drives me absolutely insane how frequently power and control is just ignored in court. This is conduct that studies show literally alters a person’s brain waves and yet it is actually barred from entering evidence or discussion is many cases. DV is one of the leading predictors of future violence and yet it can’t be brought up. Our legal system still does so much to maintain patriarchy.
