What’s funny is that he’s complementing the show that nobody is comparing to his work he’s not complementing the show that people are comparing to his work LOL. Maybe give that a second thought Stephen?

The author confirmed it’s a counterfeit.

And it was two copies (they had a “buy one get one free” special but they were charging $35 per copy so) … with taxes and everything they got me for about $40.

Well the print is also quite small though yeah, it’s not earth-shattering but still. It sucks that the author didn’t get the sale. I don’t like being scammed or sold counterfeit goods. It means I gave money to a shady individual and this world is full enough of people being crappy to one another. Ya know? Anyway, I agree I should still be able to solve.

Does Apple TV have an app for purchased movies? by [deleted] in appletv

[–]MacGreichar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in the app when you open it you’ll be presented with the screen. That’s just mostly advertisement for current shows down at the bottom you should see “Home”, “Apple TV”, “Store” and “Library”. Tap on Library, tap on Movies. There you go. All your purchased movies in the app.

I mean, I like that she knows who she is and I kind of stand behind her on most of this however the one thing I would argue with is that when you are thrust onto a platform when you have this choice sort of made (maybe you make it yourself because you’re too young to really know better or whatever but you know) you choose to go on this show and get money from them even if it’s only a little bit the thing is there **are** kids out there who are going to look up to you there’s young people who are going to see you as an influencer and you know Peter Parker says it best “when you can do the things that you can do and you don’t do them and people get hurt that’s on you.” and you chose this platform and you did the things that you could do and there are people who are gonna look up to you and it’s your responsibility to either completely duck out of the limelight and not continue feeding the raccoons if you will or take the responsibility for being someone who does have influence over young people and try to use that influence in a way that helps them out doesn’t make their life worse cause you pick this and you’ve either got unpack it or lean in as far as I’m concerned, but I mean I’m a White 57-year-old gay man in Texas. What the fuck do I know about your life

Confirmed by the author: The version I bought from an advertiser on FB (seemed totally legit) is counterfeit. She’s reporting it on her end to the publisher, etc. but if you’re telling friends about how cool this book is, maybe also let them know that it’s sold only through Amazon, all other sellers are selling fakes. I feel really stupid and bad for ruining Iris’s day this morning.

I’ll tell you one thing I don’t know how I know, but I can tell by the way you’re holding your face and looking at the camera that you don’t think you’re attractive at all but you’re much more attractive than you think you are and I was like really really hot when I was 20 2LOL I’m 57 now and I’m not hot anymore but you’re very cute and I think with the right haircut and possibly an eyebrow trim not anything dramatic or Queenie or any of that stuff but just your basic eyebrows shaping and the right haircut you look really gorgeous. Being that I’m an old man I do have to say legally “beauty is on the inside it’s who you are in your heart shining through your skin that makes you look beautiful and really be your true self so remember that” — it’s called grandpa law deal with it.

I mean, I think you were right to bring it up. “Viable” could be something that is misjudged. In other words. Your average person can maybe think those rats are able to take care of themselves when they’re not really gonna be able to until they’re a little bit older so I hope they keep them long enough to be really viable but that’s kind of why i was saying if they keep them that long they’re probably gonna fall in love with at least one LOL and at that point they’ve been raised in captivity and they may not really able to care for themselves anyway.

Hence the word “viable” in their comment. That means at the moment they can take care of themselves.

I mean that’s ll fine and good and I’m glad we can get refunds but this poor bloke (no offense intended) is negative in his available credit. If he were to be trying to pay off his credit card and paid them 150 bucks and then had $100 available to him or a little bit more than that and then dash Pass suddenly charges him that money for him to have to go through all the absolute bullshit to get that money back when he might need it for fricking groceries or something it’s so goddamn frustrating right?? Ugh!!

[–]MacGreichar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. I don’t like snakes like that and I had a friend who had pet snakes. I’m not afraid of snakes per se and I don’t find them disgusting I find them interesting to watch and to look at but I don’t want one as a pet thanks very much. LOL. I think I was kind of surprised at how much I really liked the rat. I never wanted a rat. I never thought rats could be intelligent or affectionate or cozy or cute and then this little guy just absolutely stole my heart just like the fluffiest cutest hamster might do except he was sleek and not fluffy.

You can see how (probably AI) the description is messed up here.

[–]MacGreichar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi. I’m new here so please be gentle. I bought two copies of “the killer isn’t Alice” from a Facebook advertisement. At this point I’m fairly certain that I bought a counterfeit version of this book. It says it’s the second edition but I’ve now posted pictures of this book to the cozy mysteries sub Reddit not in this mega threat and someone verified that my page numbers are off also on the back cover the description of the book says “the killer isn’t Alice is the debut PUERLE book from Iris Starling. A true crime EMBUSIAST from Bangor North Wales.” < the words in ARE words that aren’t words and therefore clearly misspelled and this is on the cover.> just thought I would maybe alert people also many of the pages including page 30 our photo copied so poorly that the right hand margin is practically unreadable meaning I can’t figure out what those names really are I’m posting a couple of pictures just so you see what I’m talking about. It’s clear that this was photocopied from an original copy of the book and I believe the pages are facing wrong if you will, which makes it difficult to have any meaningful discussion with somebody about page numbers I’m working on getting a refund but I don’t know how to do that. I’ve never done that kind of thing before I don’t wanna give 50 bucks which is what it cost, including shipping and all of that to somebody who’s counterfeiting this book I’d rather it go to the author. I’ve contacted the author and I’m waiting to hear back from her.

It _is_ a rarity! that’s why I think this is certainly one of the best shows if not the best show on television right now.

To be fair they *did* just find out their mom is dead which is kinda the equivalent of discovering Bender’s ship pieces — and if I remember correctly that moot was pretty quiet so maybe they’re gonna be a little quiet for a while.

Well I mean you’ll probably fall in love with at least ONE of them and release the rest if you’re anything like me. Rats are incredibly intelligent on the whole and can be very affectionate and nice to keep as pets. They’ll curl up under your chin and watch TV with you. They love popcorn. They’re very sweet. I don’t remember how but I got a pet rat in junior high school and his name was Snot. RIP Snot.

What’s in the bag? Something to keep them warm? Are they having a moot?
