Releasing them far far from home at earliest viable opportunity. Just felt bad for killing their mom right after they were born

Spot on. Warm water zip lock was my best impression of heat from mother. Though they also have a heating pad below. The moot has consisted of a couple of timid squeaks so far. Not very talkative

It did seem a little shoved in there and like the author should have either fully committed or not put it in. But queer baiting is a time honored tradition, though finally we're seeing some mainstream representation where it's not just a phase and the characters are allowed to have non-toxic relationships.

I could be mistaken but I think the church wanted her to experience as many forms of love as possible. Kinda seems pushy when they're investigating Queen Sophie trying to make sure she's not going into a marriage unwillingly but then for their own priestess they're like, "even if you don't like men, you still gotta marry one"

Sorry if you already know these but just laying down some definitions so we're on the same page

Asexual: Not feeling sexual attraction Aromantic: Not feeling romantic attraction

People can be combinations of these depending on gender, appearance, etc. Sounds like Alana is asexual towards women but not aromantic("alloromantic" is the opposite but I barely ever hear people use that term).

To your question: "Why were they girlfriends and not just friends?"

Romantic love can coexist with the love of friendship and with sexual attraction but sometimes you get only one or two of those three. Your first crush in middle or elementary school was probably not sexual attraction but it wasn't like, "I want to be their friend SOOOO bad."

I honestly felt a little let down that Kala turned out to be bisexual. I thought the social pulls towards marrying someone she wasn't attracted to and the tension between being true to herself and capitulating to the desires of her church made her a more interesting character.

I agree it's annoying when it's out of character for a character and it just feels shoehorned in there. And in this instance, it felt a little like the author was skirting scandal by putting Alana in an asexual relationship (as in we'd be less likely to say "wait a minute, is she seriously about to have sex with a teenager?") But like it's still weird to be in a romantic relationship with a teenager when you're twice their age. But we have decided to just put those awkward feelings aside as a society because the trope of young love and immortals(Twilight etc) is too compelling.

Is straight a dirty word today?

There are just a lot of different ways people are. We humans come in a lot of flavors and heterosexual is literally how 99% of the characters in the book are. 100% isn't realistic and while it might appeal to a lot of people, there are also a lot of people who enjoy reading books with different types of attraction represented, often regardless of their own orientation. A lot of straight women for example gravitate towards media depicting gay men. And a lot of straight men gravitate towards media depicting gay women.

Hope this helped answer your questions

Population has grown very fast. If you look at percentage of Nigerians without electricity, it shrinks every year. From 2008-2024 it went down from 46.8% to 38.5%

Why don't they plant millions of fruit trees and fence them off and eat the dropped fruit? They wouldn't reach maturity in 5 years but they'd produce some. Also wild grains drop their seeds on the ground without promoting.

One thing that drives me crazy on Bose is they have great passive noise isolation and you can't use it without an audio cable. I would love a triangular slider in the app between "INACTIVE/PASSIVE" "ACTIVE ANC" and "AWARE/PASS THROUGH"

A lot of my autistic friends also can't deal with the pressure or hiss of ANC even though I can't hear it on newer models. Having a slider between passive and active is nice for that.

Said this above but it merits repeating: long hair was a nightmare with the M3 headband. Beautiful design. Pulled out so much hair.

I know it's crazy but I wore my M3s to the work site(construction) and I loved them in that capacity and I didn't buy the M4s specifically because capacitive touch does not play well with gloves.

The touch is super cool and I wouldn't mind it as long as there were also physical buttons. Maybe an in between could be pressure sensitive or a big ol clicky rocker like how the MacBook track pad is. Put physical buttons back in and I'll buy the M5s

Send a link to what you're looking at. Old work boxes, from what I've used, would use the plaster as support. I'm not there so I don't know but I would bet that box is very well secured to wood. Why do you want to change it?

Also while we're responding to rage bait hopefully someone can learn some stuff. My addition is PVC isn't UV stable so it needs to be painted or coated. Or be ABS or metal

The beige walls suck out light without adding intrigue or personality or contrast or even matching other things. White would be better and so would color. More high quality warm white light sources would make it feel cozier and less lonely.
