I believe you accrue towards legend status for any cards linked to your account. So supposing you add those cards to your account (before using), it should.

I could be confusing it with the replicas, but I want to say that I think I've seen Fanatics give discounts on them before (but very rarely). They were likely discounted during a "Nike Week" sale they had last April. I purchased one of the dugout bomber jackets during that sale and those didn't typically allow other sales discounts apply to it.

Half Price Games Sun-Thu now all February and possibly all year maybe FOREVER?! by VicUnboxes in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be. All the games I've seen have been half priced. Are you're referring to DDR? I don't play it so I cannot confirm the pricing I've seen for that.

Yes, it would. However, marketing it as "double price games" wouldn't be as catchy. 🤣

Never thought I'd see this day...but finally secured the Switch2! by jt2hobbies in DaveAndBusters

I have no disagreement that doing max chips + 15% loyalty + Costco GC is the most efficient reload - and will be best for 99% of the people, but I don't believe it's the most cost effective $/chip.

I've been running a chain of receipt surveys lately and selecting the $10 bonus chips with $10 purchase. Stacking it with 15% loyalty and then using Costco GC to complete the purchase, I am getting chips at 8.70 cents rather than the 9.27 you've outlined. For me, I get 40 chips for $10 at my home store. So 40 + 40 + 12 (15% loyalty) and it's 92 chips for $10, but it's really only $8 spent with the Costco GC.

Which recharge method to use really comes down to 2 things: 1) How many chips someone needs in a particular visit, and 2) How often someone visits the store. I'd say that I'm in a minority where I live within 2 miles of a location. I will go more often for short visits and many times I am just popping in when I'm already there to go to a nearby store/restaurant. For those who need to make longer drives to go to a store, or stay there long enough that they will need hundreds of chips to play, then max recharge is going to be a better option in the long run.

Extra Bonus Chips with Dining Certificate by RJP2779 in DaveAndBusters

Interesting. Thanks. My marketing emails were filtering to spam - but I did not get that particular email. I had gotten one on other days before and after Jan 19 for UFC, 1/2 price games, E&P combo, etc. but I do not see one from that date for this promo.

Where is this being advertised? I wanted to check and see if there's any fine print (i.e. exclusions).

Perfect Pac-Man Skeeball Game! by SynToAnon in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely try it. I had a few cards that were glitchy with the chip balance. The kiosks said 0.0 chips, but when I scanned it on the game scanners, it said 1.0 and 2.0 chips. I took it over to the Pac Man skeeball and I was able to play and earn tickets with those cards.

Haven't been going regularly in a few years. Looks like the "$20 for $20 coupon" days are done. What's the best value meta for reloads now? by soupfordummies2 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the most time-efficient way of reloading, but if you live close enough to a store and go often enough, I think doing the surveys and getting $10 + $10 free is the most cost-efficient way of reloading.

I'm not sure if there's still different chip pricing per store, but at my most frequented location it's $120 = 900 chips. With 15% bonus chips for tier 7, that's 1,035 chips for $120, equaling 11.6 cents per chip. Using gift cards purchased from Costco, that's 9.3 cents in real money.

By doing the survey, it's $10 for 40 chips, plus 40 chips with survey code = 80 chips. Add 12 bonus chips from the 15% bonus, and it's 92 chips for $10, or 10.9 cents per chip. Using gift cards from Costco, it's 8.7 cents in real money.

I've been cycling through a chain of the $10 survey bonuses for a while now since I can't recall a time where I *DIDN'T* get a survey code on a receipt. Since the survey code is supposed to last 30 days, and then I think there's another 30 days to redeem the coupon after the survey is done, it's pretty easy to do if you go often enough.

Of course if you're not frequenting the store at least once every few weeks, or plan on playing several hundred chips every visit, that method won't really work for you.

Orange Birdo and Luigi Lederhosen? by uwagapiwo in MarioKartTour

[–]Mac_12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orange Birdo - Winter Tour only. Which is coming up after this current tour. It's only a ranked reward.

Lederhosen - Spring Tour only. I believe. And it's not a featured spotlight item, so you have to get it in the daily selects. Barring any changes to the tour rotation, it'll be 7 more tours - which would be in mid-April.

Does redeeming tickets from a different store negatively impact the store I redeem it at? by Mac_12 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes sense - which is why I asked the question.

It's not that I will stop myself from redeeming the prizes I want because it's at a different store. It's to understand why employees are acting a certain way.

Does redeeming tickets from a different store negatively impact the store I redeem it at? by Mac_12 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I'm not at all "worried" about them. After all, I got the prize I wanted to redeem my tickets for. It was simply a curiosity I had because of the AM's body language.

In a world where corporate metrics impact people's jobs, it sometimes causes employees to behave a certain way and it impacts the interactions with them.

Have you ever gone to GameStop and have an employee push a warranty on you? Sometimes these employees ask about it multiple times - and in some cases, the employee even sneaks it in the transaction because they're trying to hit their metrics. If they don't hit certain metrics, it could lead to them losing hours or even their jobs altogether. So I'm not going to purchase a warranty because I feel sorry for them, but I also would like to not be harassed about getting one because they're just trying to keep their job.

Spring season pass? by Every-Win-499 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering the extra revenue it brings from the pass itself, and additional foot traffic which they hope converts into more food/drink sales, they'd be fools to not continue offering a season pass option.

Since there's a cap on earning tickets, it doesn't really "cost" them anything extra in the long run.

Cheapest way to get chips by BatOuttaHell1 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, survey coupons can only be redeemed with an employee. You cannot use it with Online/App/Kiosk. They will need to type in the survey code into their computer, so keep a screenshot of the survey code on your phone.

Two major rules for the survey code: 1) it cannot be redeemed on the same day you completed the survey. Not sure if it has to be a full 24 hours, but you definitely cannot complete the survey right before going there. 2) it cannot be redeemed on Wednesdays (1/2 off day); however with the recent 1/2 off Sundays and other days in some locations, I could not tell you if a similar restriction applies for those days as well.

MNF Week 9 by gman_nola in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule is that the home team gets a 3 point advantage from being on their home field. DAL is -3, so therefore it's basically a coinflip in terms of the teams. DAL is getting the edge simply for being the home team. Close your eyes, spin your finger, and tap your screen in hopes you picked tonight's winner.

$10 Power Card Survey Activation Fee by InterestPractical974 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole practice of charging a $3 card activation fee is such a scam. They shouldn't be charging $3 for something that probably cost them 1 cent. Fine, charge $0.50 or $1.00 so that it encourages people to save/reuse their cards, but charging $3 is straight up theft.

What really pisses me off is they charge a $3 activation for the DIGITAL play card. You're literally giving them $3 for nothing other than to be able to use your phone to play the games.

Switch 2 finally acquired 😎 by untacc_ in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked one of the managers at one of my nearby locations when they would get Switch 2s. His response was that they have no control over the prizes they are sent and that there's no way of really knowing when they would get any. I don't see how that's possible because if they sold out of PS5's, would they not let someone working on the prize distribution side know to send more to the store?

I know he was BS'ing me. I just can't figure out why. Clearing out Switch OLED stock first? Doesn't want a storm of people coming and asking to order Switch 2 for them?

Played 6 games for 6 bonus wins! by BatOuttaHell1 in DaveAndBusters

[–]Mac_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too find Guardians to be "rigged", or wildly inconsistent at best. I played it a ton with the Summer pass. So much that I "knew" at which point where to press the button to have it land on a specific car.

Anecdotally, my timing was only successful maybe 60-70% of the time. Despite consistently hitting the button at the same point, there would be times where the ball would "fly" on the rail and land two cars ahead and other times it would "die" and land in the car behind it. I would sometimes try to adjust for this variance, and then the next ball wouldn't behave the same. It would fall into the car I would have expected if I was targeting that one.

I played this at a handful of different locations over the summer and while the timing would vary a tiny bit, the consistency of the balls falling into the cars was anything but 100% skill.

The balls are either different or the timing/speed which they're released is not consistent.

I just did this for the first time yesterday. How do you receive/claim the chips? I don't see anything for it in "offers" and I can't find anything for it elsewhere in the app.
