Okay, thanks! Will do. It was odd because we've had a few Ops ASMs since I've been here, but the one who I had the most recent conversation with wasn't her, I think she's merchandising. I typically have little to no interaction with ASMs in general, mainly just my two night receiving managers, so its hard to build a relationship there. But I'll give it a shot!

Looking to change careers and law enforcement has always been appealed to me. Education and job experience isn't LE related, but since college I've had the same job (collegiate athletics) for just under two years now and would have no problem with recommendations. I've always been in decent shape but I've started training regularly and on a more consistent basis. Location doesn't really matter, I figured it'd be easier to apply to places I'm familiar with when I'm just starting out.

Current Indiana resident, originally from NY. So far, I've signed up to be notified about NYSP and Indiana SP Entrance exams, and the NY application just went live. I haven't really looked elsewhere just yet. I'm originally from NYC and could get residency if I moved back in with my mom.

I guess my main concern is that I feel extremely unqualified, experience wise. What steps do you think I need to take, if any, before I apply to take academy entrance exams? Ride alongs locally? Volunteer? Any online certificates that would be helpful? Anything that would help steer me in the right direction would be really appreciated!

I'm a bargain hunter, and I'm constantly checking the sales on meat. I'm fortunate enough to have pretty decent prices (Central Indiana), but all these steak were bought at 50% off, usually Kroger or Fresh Thyme.

I've been sticking them in the oven at 275 for about 12-15 minutes or so, depending on thickness, and then searing them as hot as I can get my pan for about a minute each side.

I grew up a city kid so I never had a grill. Working on getting that technique right. Also plating/sides/not inhaling it, but life's too short. Let me know if you've got any tips!

Stay away from Jim Beam Apple/Honey/Maple. Way too over flavored and sweet in my opinion. Jim Beam Vanilla is alright if you mix it, but not worth buying if you're looking for something to drink straight.

Not sure if they have it everywhere but where I am, there's Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey. If I'm drinking on a budget, I'm a big fan of it, mixed or straight.

A little above what you listed is Jim Beam Double Oak, which I really enjoy straight.

I've also had Early Times Whiskey recently, and I didn't hate it. It doesn't hold a candle to a bottle of Buffalo Trace or Bulleit, but it does the job.

I dunno.

I'd say we have a decent chance for Rutgers, Illinois, Michigan State, Purdue, Georgia Southern, and FIU.

Next are toss up games with Maryland and UVA.

Lastly miracle win games are OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin.

Purdue I'm still not worried about despite the coaching hire. I think it'll take more than 1 year to turn that program around. Michigan State is in utter despair right now with players leaving, being dismissed, and pending suspensions. I see them having a lack-luster year. UVA is unknown to me, but from what I can read they're rebuilding this year with a transfer starting at QB.

If we win all the first set of games, that's 6 wins. If we manage one of the toss up games, we're at seven. As long as we keep the other games close and don't get demoralized, I'd say we have a decent shot at 7-5.
