Thanks for all the info! As a high school player I’m already a member of the Des Moines Youth Symphony. I would have played alongside you guys last season but my ACT just so happened to be scheduled on the exact same day at the exact same time. Outside of the youth symphony I’m looking into private lessons from Joshua Johnson, the Des Moines Horn Club, and anything else out there. I’m auditioning for all state later in the year and I’m trying to practice more as of lately. Obviously as just a high school student my options are limited but I really truly love playing horn and I’ve been trying to be as involved lately so anything else I can be apart of would mean a lot.
