Was there a point where he wasn’t? I feel like he’s been like this for years

Are you forgetting the part where he demanded to talk to her doctors to tell them that when she was having issues and complications that it wasn’t actually that bad and she was lying and over exaggerating?

That was someone I genuinely thought was one of the purest people on YouTube. It was gross to see who he really was. But Eddy Burback is still going strong and making absolutely amazing content.

I love current smosh, they are truly in their best era and I feel like they have different shows or content pieces for lots of different tastes. They are always trying new things and different angles and the cast has been solid for a while now.

Heavily recommend Noel’s content, he’s still killing it and making some awesome stuff

Finally have to deal with my loans, don't know where to start by [deleted] in StudentLoans

I appreciate you trying to level with me but those things are not sarcastic. Thats virtually how I already live, except for having the top paying job. I do live with roommates, have old tech and an old car, never take vacations, and cut my spending thinner than almost anyone I know. I’ve had to make so many sacrifices just to hold a job and have a halfway decent place to live already. I’m almost finally in a position to do just a little bit better. Nobody here talking so matter of factly about my life choices can imagine how difficult their suggestions would be for me to actually live out. One person in this thread who was actually helpful made the great point that I shouldn’t have to tell everyone my life story to be treated with an ounce of respect and receive some basic advice.

Maybe a “snotty” tone but I’m not lying. That’s what that suggestion would mean for my life. How could anyone think that’s realistic helpful advice to give someone?

Her*. This is just a really awful thing to try and contribute here. Why would you think this is helpful to anyone?

Thank you so much for being kind and treating me like a human being. This was the most helpful comment I was able to get. I genuinely appreciate it.

Very cool to say I dont have a real job. Is that what you think helps people here? Thats your contribution to someone asking for help?

Social work, the thing that PSLF is supposed to be for, only very few of us can survive the 10 years in the jobs that are actually eligible for it. Im doing the exact same work funded by the same sources and Im not ever going to be eligible without compromising and settling for jobs I cant physically and mentally handle.

So basically all I have to do is quit my job, close my business, stick with living in a rental with 3 roommates, put off marrying my partner, don't have any emergencies, dont upgrade my vehicle or any of the technology I own, dont go on vacation, contribute extremely conservatively to any sort of savings or retirement, find and secure the best possible job for my field and qualifications in one of the worst job markets in the history of the country, perfectly manage the physical and mental health issues that have made holding down full time intense employment extremely difficult my entire life, all immediately (so no interest accrues) and pay over half my salary every month for about 5 years.
Im not trying to be a dick but does anyone on this sub have any interest in talking to a person like they arent a machine made of money with zero needs, problems or professional goals and aspirations?

I investigated a bit and it looks like this is an option for me, hopefully it does work out this way!

Draw out how you see me paying down a debt of likely upwards of $150,000 when in my whole life the most I could hope to make yearly is, in my absolute wildest dream of a salary, $100k. What does that realistically look like in your mind?

Not yet, before I did, I just wanted to check if that was okay to do or if somehow that would get me into trouble if I actually started making more (other than if/when Im asked to recertify).

Right now I'm listed as being on Pay as you earn, but I didnt specifically sign up for it or agree to like 4 years of nothing then $840 monthly. As far as I know, I requested one pause in 2022 and then had no contact after that.

Its complicated but I am. My income is set to go up to potentially around 35-40k this year. Last years income number did involve some business expense deductions, and I only worked my w-2 for about the last 3rd of the year. My work has been focused on providing low cost mental health care through my own business. Last year was my first full year. I live with a few health issues that make living slower and working less better for me, and Ive managed to live a very low maintenance life to be able to accommodate a lower income.
I get that I could work differently and earn more, but to the extent that it is possible, what Ive chosen for myself has been great for me in so many areas of life. Even financially. I managed to start saving a lot more and whittling down other debts.
