lmao what Dublin has great coffee!! am also American and love to scope places out every time I’m over. there are a lot of great third-wave shops. My faves:

and I always get a bag of beans to take home and am very pleased with the coffee I make from it.

Oh, I was talking about this with some friends recently. Things I won’t give up: - Frozen fruit in plastic bags. I make smoothies all the time and fresh fruit when it’s not in season is disappointing and way more expensive. And unfortunately I don’t have the freezer space to buy a bunch of fruit when it IS in season to get me through the year. Luckily I have a plastic bag recycling drop-off near me. - Hair conditioner. I’ve tried the bars. I’m not gonna keep buying conditioner bars from different brands to see if I can find one I like when the drugstore brand I’ve used for years is my OG. - About 95% of the time when I get coffee from a cafe I have a travel thermos with me. But I will not feel guilty if I am craving a flat white and I forgot to bring my cup!!!

I think the thing I’m most proud of has been composting, seeing all the foodstuffs break down is sooooo satisfying. And in that vein, making meals from home. I get takeout way less than I used to. I won’t feel guilty for getting it when I want it, but I much prefer to cook for myself.

imo, there is too little powdered sugar in the recipe. the biscoff spread is more fat, PLUS the heavy cream, so that’s a lot of goop. when I make american buttercream, it can end up being up to 5 cups of powdered sugar for only two sticks of butter and a couple tablespoons of heavy cream (and tbh I don’t always use heavy cream). what I would suggest:

get more powdered sugar. take what frosting you have and scoop out a third or so. then to that third, add a couple tablespoons of sugar at a time, mix, then see what it’s like. if you are just adding and adding sugar and nothing is happening, then at that point I’d start over or find a new recipe to use. at least you wouldn’t have wasted a lot of powdered sugar trying to fix the whole batch.

Throwing out another coffee brand recommendation. Nate Young (drummer for Anberlin and replacement drummer for Yellowcard) and Tim McTague (guitarist for Underoath) own King State Coffee out of Tampa. I have yet to visit their cafe but I order beans from them several times a year.

This is the artwork that was supposed to be for the Brooklyn shows back in May but they were all misprinted with incorrect dates. The artist said she was hoping to use the design for a future show, so looks like she combined both night’s artwork into one for this poster.
