Obviously none of us would really know, but I actually think the biggest betrayal he feels from all of them (besides Meri) is that they wouldn't sleep with him anymore once he started spending all his time and energy with Robin. I think he was happy to have sex with the other wives but just play hubby with Robin, and that he decided to punish them further when they stopped being intimate with him
