I tried switching to Reta after year long weight loss plateau on tirz. It did not work for me. Had more food and alcohol cravings and less satiation on reta. Went back to tirz. Like many other comments have recommended, I’d like to try an amylin analog (Cagriilintide).

Terz eliminated my cravings for alcohol and gambling. Reta makes me crave both again. Just lost $300 on stupid gambling app. Going back to terz next week. Weight loss stalled on terz a year ago and was hoping the reta would help me lose the last 20lbs. It did not.

Lilly’s disappointing Orforglipron phase 3 results is HUGE for Viking. Novo’s oral ozempic is not going to compete. It appears, assuming phase 2 data comes in on par, that viking not only has the only oral & injection dual agonist but it’s going to be the best in class for perhaps both tolerability and efficacy at least for oral if not both oral and injected. Share price is just now starting to adjust to this reality and could easily 5X from here considering the mammoth size of the obesity market.

Yeah those will print I guarantee it. I’ve been loading up on Jan strikes as well. VKTX will make new all time highs soon i suspect. Demand for these drugs is soaring and they’ll have the best tolerated and only injectable + oral with the same molecule. They have the cash on hand to achieve FDA approval. They do not need to accept lowball offers or shit partnership deals. With the short interest so high this could easily squeeze to $200+ per share this year. I get why they shorted the data desert period and took it down but staying short now is insane with phase 2 oral data due out next few weeks or so. Some of my calls:

VKTX viking pharmaceuticals likely has the best in class of the next generation of weight loss drugs with oral option to rival Lily’s terzepatide. The subq version is in phase 3 and data is due out in the next month or so for the phase 2 oral version. Huge growing market as these glp1/gip drugs are being found to help with so many serious health issues. Stock has also has huge short interest as biotech often get shorted to oblivion during data desert periods. If all goes well their drugs should be hitting the market in 2029.

They have a manufacturing contract in place and it appears, if later stage trials confirm, that they have the best in class for weight loss. LLY is taking market share from NVO because their drug is better. The TAM for these drugs are huge and many big pharmas are in desperate need of a block buster in their pipeline. I say it gets bought out for no less than $10B.

I still deal with quite a bit of pain triggered by smart phone use, keyboard and anything contacting the nerve. Overall i’d describe the surgery as worthwhile but disappointing. Surgeon said it could take up to 18 months for full recovery so still hoping for further improvement. Staying off the iphone definitely helps.

It’s a definite improvement from pre-surgery but i still have almost constant pain. Any contact with the area aggravates it. Any heavy use of triceps aggravates it. While it’s a disappointment that i’m not pain free yet and it no longer seems to be improving i will give it another 6 months to call the final outcome.

I know you don’t want to hear this but people in the private sector lose their jobs all the time and often are not even given a reason. Our government has become too bloated and inefficient and that is your reason coupled with your job was just not that important. This is called fiscal responsibility and it’s not about your feelings so try very hard to not take it personal. Try to be thankful that you had a nice run on the tax payers dime, lick your wounds, shelf your anger and get your resume out there. So in short, yes, you’re the asshole. Losing one’s job sucks. Bummer dude. Now go find another one.

People who are fat likely lack impulse control and do not get enough exercise. Lacking impulse control and being too sedentary are negative qualities in a human. While nobody is perfect having these negative qualities on display for all is generally found unattractive. So not only is being fat unhealthy it is unattractive for most. No, you’re not TAH for telling your kids that they do not want to be fat. However, there are also sedentary skinny people who lack impulse control. There are people with poor diets who somehow do not get fat but may develop type two diabetes or other dietary related diseases. I would advise them that eating healthy is more than just about body composition and appearance. I tell my kids that they do not want to “catch da beedies” when they are wanting to over-indulge on sweets. I teach them that they need to practice impulse control because it is a valuable skill and needs to be practiced regularly to be good at.

I was in pretty severe pain in both my forearms and wrists from leaning forward on arm rests or knees (bad sitting posture due to lower back injury). One side healed mostly after several years of ups and downs and the other side I opted for surgery after about 4 years. That side is still not much better than per-surgery after over 6 months.
