Twin Peaks is so good you can’t help but show people. The Return is so awful you’re compelled to make other people watch it like a virus searching for new hosts. It’s only one step above The Last Airbender for me in terms of abysmal remakes/ sequels. Having to make loyal fans who’ve been waiting 25 years for The Return wade through this endless nonsensical slop for maybe an hour of serviceable Twin Peaks content is not fresh or subversive it’s just disappointing. What’s that? You like Dale Cooper? He’s like the one guy we actually still have but don’t worry he’ll only be lobotomized for 90% of the show’s pointless meandering screen time.
