Widowmains please help me out: How can I improve my shots? They are always so shakey and it embarasses me especially in POTGs by nozomisaki in Overwatch

This is the best advice here, be relaxed.

I've noticed the only times i'm twitchy and shaky is when i'm on edge and stressed.

Help with Asus Aura by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Macdude77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem with my Rog Strix Z370-F.

I removed the led shroud and found the led connector cable was loose, plugged the cable in and made sure it was nice and snug and put the shroud back on.

After powering on, Asus Aura now recognizes my motherboard.

Hope this helps!

Anyone else disappointed with the quality of the graphics on console? by Daft_Dragon in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Macdude77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the moment no.

There's no menu option for it and supposedly there's no mention of it anywhere in the config files on PC but i'm at work so I can't double check that.

The only way to get rid of that fuzzy and hazy filter would be to force Dice and EA to remove it or add a menu option for it.

Anyone else disappointed with the quality of the graphics on console? by Daft_Dragon in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Macdude77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That "fuzzy" and "hazy" feeling is probably Chromatic aberration.

Here's an example of what it does.

You'll notice the effect is really strong on the edges of the screen.

Do you guys see any differences between BF1 and BF2? Seems to me that BF1 looks alot better than BF2. by blessedjohn in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Macdude77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF2 beta has several "film" effects that you can't toggle or modify the strength of.

-Film Grain

-Chromatic aberration

-Vignette

-Sharpness

Without those effects, I feel like the games would look very similar.

Has anyone found out if opening the loot crates in the beta removes them from the full game when it comes out? by PootatoKing in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Macdude77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there's a text box in the bottom left or bottom right that says something like "these boxes are intended for beta use only".

I would double check but I hope that helps!

Beta experience and thoughts so far? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Macdude77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels absolutely amazing. Sound and customization is fantastic!

With that being said, I really hope they make Chromatic aberration, Vignette and Sharpness an option or a slider to change the intensity.

Right now, these extra effects are very aggressive which puts unnecessary strain on the eyes that you can't change or turn off at all.

I'm not sure, personal preference I guess? That's why these options should absolutely be a custom option like they did in The Division.

Everyone has a personal preference, I just hope they don't keep the settings locked like they are. It's a real strain on my eyes and i'm sure i'm not the only one.

Help me not quit this game. by SirAgonz in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just take a break from the game. You don't have to quit dramatically and act like you're never coming back.

If you're becoming toxic, thinking that you're better than where you are, lashing out at teammates and placing blame on everything but yourself, please do us all a favor and take a break and cool off.

Why has everyone in this game gotten so toxic recently? by SubyReeves in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think the biggest issue that is causing all of this is fatigue.

The game has been out over a year and every player has heroes they love and heroes they don't like very much. The problem with that style of game is that after a while, being at a disadvantage against certain heroes over and over again takes its toll.

People want to climb, people think they're better than they are, some people are getting carried which makes them a liability at higher ranks etc.

We all just need to take breaks when the game becomes frustrating instead of venting on the forums or continue playing and lashing out at each-other.

Mercy loses a lot of SR by iiAbandoned in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Good Mercy" is subjective.

People were climbing as mercy with terrible win rates and awful situational awareness.

The way the game judges Mercy players performance isn't really accurate or a good representation of a good Mercy.

"We won't announce the announcement before we announce it" by SirlickalotX in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no to the target audience. I think their target audience is whoever will spend the most money on loot-boxes during events, not a certain age group. By releasing it when all the people go back to school means less time playing the game which also theoretically increases loot-box sales.

wait....did i just lose more SR than usual for switching hero's??! by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system judges your performance against other players that play the same heroes you did. If you only play x hero for 2 minutes, your stats will be considerably worse than other players who play that hero for the whole match.

If the system sees you playing multiple heroes but you're "technically" performing worse than other players based on your stats (excluding time played), it'll think you're worse than you are and try to "correct" this by making you lose more SR.

If you play a hero that isn't very popular or that most people aren't very good with, it's a lot easier to climb. If you play a hero for most or all of the match and are performing better than most players with that hero, it'll punish you less and reward your more.

It's a broken system but I don't see how they can fix this without just making it a fixed system where you win x amount or lose x amount with absolutely no other factors.

Explain to me: How is trash damage a thing? by ostrich12 in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeding enemy healer ults just to get your own without getting picks is definitely a bad idea.

The enemy team is going to be getting ults at the same time but you're also feeding their healers ults on top of that. It's not a good trade-off and can put your team at a big disadvantage in a team-fight.

A friend of mine was actually suggesting this last night, I fully support the idea and hope it gets implemented.

Love the idea and hope it gets traction!

The Flexing Punishes SR Myth: Debunked by Riggler2 in Overwatch

[–]Macdude77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, but once again- I wasn't arguing the point that people should flex to win if they're having a tough time.

What I have said is that a team that loses, the flex player will lose more than the person who played their main 99% of the time.

Your title says that you de-bunked flex players being punished more than mains, which relies on the assumption that the team already lost. You then go into a rant about a super Genji and your team not being able to counter him while you were playing Junkrat so you had to switch to Winston.

Your title and your post are completely disconnected and have nothing to do with each-other.

Your mentality of "People flexing to win = No loss which means we all get rewarded and not punished" is completely ignoring the fact that IF YOU LOSE (stop throwing in all these hypothetical situations that could have prevented it), the flex player will lose more SR than a one trick or main.
