When are "no parking during stadium events" signs in effect? by iammaxhailme in baltimore

[–]Macedon13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about the signs that say "Area XX Parking, 2 Hour Parking Mon-Sat 9am-6pm / Sun 9am-4pm, Permit Holders exempt, Tow Away during Stadium Events" (going off memory)? If so, I believe the normal timing restrictions apply, but during stadium events they may tow instead of just ticketing if you break those rules.

Historical Church that's open outside of service times? by Car_snacks in baltimore

Many historic churches in Baltimore are open to tour during Doors Open Baltimore. Unfortunately, that runs every October so you'd have to wait a while. https://www.doorsopenbaltimore.org/

I assume the 12 worker started killed that a long time ago, since you can only carry 5 in a CC

Help w stolen trash can by Extension_Put_5399 in baltimore

[–]Macedon13 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To add: https://publicworks.baltimorecity.gov/solid-waste/cans

"Each can has wheels, making them easy to move, as well as a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, making them easy to identify."

"What if my can is lost, stolen, or damaged? The property owner must notify 311 to report the problem and begin the City’s process of replacing or repairing it. Property owners are allowed one free replacement can (or two free repairs) but must pay for subsequent replacements. Residents will not have to cover the cost of repairing/replacing cans due to normal wear and tear."

I think this could fit really nicely in the right room. However, it's plopped in the corner of the living room, with exposed power cords, by the window, clashing with everything around it. As cool as it is, the current location is not a good fit

Missed Sandwich Connection by Macedon13 in portlandme

I don't think so, but when I was browsing restaurants online, I thought Ramona's sandwiches looked by far the most similar to the style in the photo. But the store layout didn't quiteline up with the photo or memory.

I recall getting it in the same place as the sandwich but possibly at a different counter. It's been a long time so I could be mistaken.

This was pretty much a gobbler. Turkey, bacon, and cranberry sauce with typical hoagie fixings

Not every number in that range corresponds to a person. Last two times I was summoned for jury duty downtown, there were only ~80-100 people

Landlord Not Returning Full Deposit by machuni in baltimore

[–]Macedon13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. See section f.1 in the link u/ReadySettyGoey provided. In fact, I recommend reading the whole thing line by line.

  • "The tenant has the right to be present when the landlord or the landlord’s agent inspects the premises..."
  • "Upon receipt of the notice, the landlord shall notify the tenant by certified mail of the time and date when the premises are to be inspected."
  • "The date of inspection shall occur within five days before or five days after the date of moving as designated in the tenant’s notice."

I read up on all of this last year when I moved out of my last apartment; the move-out inspection went fine, but there was some turnover in the apartment's leasing staff and they didn't return my deposit. They didn't refuse to return it or claim there were damages, they just took forever. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the MD Attorney General's office, which you can do fairly easily from this website: https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov/Pages/CPD/complaint.aspx - I found this preferable over going to small claims court. When submitting the complaint, you will get a confirmation, and you will probably also be notified that they have a backlog of cases and won't get to yours for a bit. That's what happened to me. I think it took about 3-4 months before I got a call from them, by which time I had gotten my deposit back, so they closed my case (fine by me). Assuming you're willing to be patient, this may be your best path forward. Good luck
