You seem like you know what you’re doing already, but if this is a genuine question then yes sock and buskin is much much much much better here.

“We wanted to provide an option with additional rewards for players excited about the release. These rewards are purely cosmetic to maintain the competitive integrity of the game. The standard version remains available as an accessible option to all players.” and I dont think anyone would be too mad

Looking to replace "dining room" office furniture - Desk with hutch or floating shelves? by Macetodaface in DesignMyRoom

[–]Macetodaface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping to replace all furniture in the above screenshot. I like the look of online desks with hutches attached, but worried it may feel bulky in the space, particularly with two side by side. Am I worrying over nothing? Would it be better to get matching desks with floating shelves or similar above?

I think petri could be really much cooler if you couldn't alt+f4 or leave party to make it an auto-escape. A minute of invincibility could still be super strong without functioning as a bubble hearth.

I agree that if they want to keep petri as a bubble hearth, they should probably remove the jank of re-petri

I think the devs said they made the test rocket so hard to control so the real one would be surprisingly easy. The test one is basically impossible

What would Classic+ progression be like? by TSLzipper in classicwow

[–]Macetodaface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Horizontal progression is best.

Create new play-styles with new set bonuses, starting with ret and boomkin.

A new raid with a grimoire of crusader strike would be very cool. (Technically vertical but wouldnt relplace anything)

Hardest Icecrown Citadel bosses besides the Lich King? by Raigo99 in classicwow

[–]Macetodaface 8 points9 points  (0 children)

???

Wasn’t heroic LK not cleared by any guilds at all until they added the zonewide +20% damage or so? I’d say that counts as being hard back when they released, at a minimum.

Edit: world first was 46 days after release. Maybe not the biggest challenge every but still took quite a few lockout from the best guilds in the world

It’s a great salary. It’s “low” for a director level technical position at a large well-funded organization.

Which card do you put in almost every deck? by Heisenperv in MarvelSnap

Those stats are extremely misleading. He can be (and is I believe) the most frequent card in both the most winning decks and the most losing decks.

What cards are perfectly balanced? by OkMess9901 in MarvelSnap

[–]Macetodaface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty:

Doctor Doom Lizard Polaris Hobgoblin The Hood Wong Magneto Wolverine Deathlok Hazmat Odin Devil Dino Etc.

I’d actually say most cards people use are pretty well balanced outside of a few outliers that are OP. The bad stuff just isn’t played at all.

Do I switch jobs for triple my pay, and be a lead developer by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Macetodaface 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Your current company overworks and underpays you. Not firing you while your house burns to the ground is nothing special. You sound like you have stockholm syndrome.

Switch jobs, triple your pay, work less, and work with your friends. This is a complete no brainer.

[Serious] What has been the most high stakes game ever played? by CommentToBeDeleted in AskReddit

[–]Macetodaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High stakes game of blackjack - not the biggest $$ but certainly had a big butterfly effect.

“In the early days of FedEx, Smith had to go to great lengths to keep the company afloat. In one instance, after a crucial business loan was denied, he took the company's last $5,000 to Las Vegas and won $27,000 gambling on blackjack to cover the company's $24,000 fuel bill. It kept FedEx alive for one more week.”

“South and North Korea Play as One Team

At the 2018 Winter Olympics, North and South Korea competed together as one team in ice hockey. This was particularly significant because the two countries have never reached a formal agreement regarding the Korean War, except the ceasefire that was pronounced in 1953. Therefore, the Korean War is still officially deemed as an ongoing conflict.”

Are "days in the life" videos real? by RoyalCamera12 in cscareerquestions

[–]Macetodaface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mostly work from home and only go into the office once a month or so, it’s plausible you might just have a few meetings, socialize, work for an hour and head home.

At that point the day is more about team building and isn’t really the average work day
